Which of your toys will you throw out the pram if Sancho, Antony and Rashford return to United?

At least with Antony you can't question his attitude. He's always worked hard.

He's a talented player who is just not cut out for the physicality of the EPL.
Yeah I find it hard to dislike somewhat basic players that are willing to put in a shift for the club like Antony, Fred, Mctominay, even Mount.

Things outside their control (transfer fees, injuries) frustrate us but you can't question their commitment.

There is a stark difference between an expensive flop and a toxic player who downed tools. Anthony should not be put in the same category as the other two. Having said that, if we are going to start being a serious club challenging for honours then all three should not be anywhere near the club come next season.

Let them cook on the tour against poor MLS opposition so the biding war between those rich US clubs can commence.
Rashford to NY (50million dollars), Sancho to Miami feeding Messi (40million dollars).
But it could be the other way around as Rashord is the second favourite (after Martial) player for Joel Glazer so he´d love to see him in the flesh every other week. Although I believe Rashy would love to live in New York and become a regullar celebrity at the Knicks games.
Antony will be the most difficult to sell to any rich MLS club as he doesnt have as big of a name in world football as those two.

Cant we sell Rashford to the Knicks?

:) (Un)fortunately Dolan is not running sporting operations there anymore, you might be able to fool him otherwise. With his height and athleticism Rashy must be dunking them in for fun.

I’m often just so confused with the likes of Rashford and Sancho. Why is it so hard for them to just run around a lot for 90 minutes, every 3 or sometimes every 7 days, while getting paid that much.

They’re still young, super fit and healthy.

Agree with most here - I don't have a problem with Antony. I can forgive Rashford if he came back with a good attitude (because of hist history) - but Sancho ? Never

Now that we know Sancho will definitely be back I plan to throw a right fecking wobbler.

Sancho is done, no top club will come from him. Hopefully some of the teams for less physical league will buy him looking at how well Antony is doing.

They are all going to return from their loan spells, with Orstein confirming the penalty fee for Chelsea is only 5m to send Sancho back that is a no brainer and Villa won’t activate the 40m fee for Rashford.

Sancho returning is really annoying as seemed like he was gone but one way or another all three will get until they are loaned/sold so their careers at Utd are effectively over.

I actually think Shaw being injured had a big impact on Rashfords form.

This might be true, but on the flip side, how can he be paid so much when his performane can be affected so drastically by something as simple as us missing one player?

5m only? Why would we agree to that? It doesn't make sense with the "obligation to buy".

Nothing, really. Their United career’s are all finished. They’ll be another clubs problem next season.

This I wish them all well as I would Dalot (still dont have a lot of joy for him) ! Rashford certainly had the talent but not the attitude

I just can’t understand how an obligation to buy for £25 million if Chelsea finish above 14th has a penalty clause of just £5 million if Chelsea pull out, surely our board can’t be that stupid ? Right ? Right ? If so someone needs to lose their job as that’s possibly the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever known transfer wise.

Ever?

A useless player with a sh!te attitude, ridiculous wages and zero clubs (bar Chelsea who probably wanted to get their squad to a round 100) interested in him… and we got most of his wages paid and at least another £5m.

The most ridiculous thing was the morons who bought him and gave him the wages.

It's basically a 5m loan fee, on top of them covering his wages for the year.

I don't hate Antony and hope he does well wherever he ends up. I would prefer that wasn't here, but can handle him being around if we can't find a buyer. Would prefer that we don't just loan him forever until he has no value.

Would hate to see Rashford back here, and I would also hate Sancho being around again but it would be funny if Chelsea are willing to pay NOT to take Mr Freedom.

The loan was for this season and obligated to turn into a permanent transfer at the end of this season as long as Chelsea finished above 14th, there shouldn’t be any possibility of Sancho coming back if the obligation is contractual which surely it is ? Surely Chelsea should be taken to court like with the Obi-Mikel thing years ago as contracts are binding.

We were desperate and not in a good negotiating position, 5m is lower than I would have expected but it’s a reflection of how difficult it was, and maybe still will be to get rid of him.

Well it clearly must have clauses in which allow them (in certain scenario) to pay the penalty fee. I doubt Chelsea have a contract that says otherwise and their lawyers are just saying “feck it”.

It’s been presented (by both parties) as an obligation… probably because they both saw it as a good deal at the time and a likely buy at the end of this season. Unfortunately, Chelsea have seen first hand what we all knew. Hopefully they’ve thrown it out there to try and force Sancho to accept their wages because his options are limited…or they want their fans to stop moaning about it being a crap deal and make themselves look better.

One could see Rashford and Antony come back as men after acting like children, but I'm afraid Sancho is a lost cause.

Antony because we would get the most money out of him.

It wouldn't be wise to just keep him.

Well, it obviously isn't, is it?

Otherwise they'd have an obligation to buy without the ability to walk away for 5m. If you're looking for something to be upset with, it's that what was made public at the start of the season wasn't the full terms of the contract.

Out of the 3 I’d rather Antony but that’s not down to quality. It’s just down to the more professional player who won’t cause problems in the dressing room like the other 2 will.

I still have hope that Villa will pay the 40M pounds for Rashford.

Hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things.

With the new news on Sancho, Antony's high wages, and Rashford zero goals and being given two starts but producing feck all against cannon fodder, I'm starting to brace myself for all three returning.

Relax, lads. As things stand, it's still very positive:

1) Rashford is doing well in Villa and back to England squad. For 40M, Villa is still very interested to make the deal permanent. Hope Rashford's form continue and even if Villa refuse to sign him, I don't think we will have problem to offload an England international.

2) All reputable medias are still reporting that even with the 5M release clause, Chelsea would like to make the Sancho deal permanent for 20-25M. He may not be a key player but he is still a very good squad player for Chelsea. Even if Chelsea refused to sign him and pay the penalty we can still loan him out at his final year to cover his paper value of 15M in his final year.

3) Antony is the most simple case. He is doing very well in Spain. His style of play is not suitable for PL. We should be able to find a buyer (Spain, Italy, Germany) for approximately 30-40M.

If everything go smoothly we could be looking at 105M selling the 3 of them. Most importantly, offloading these problematic players. Fingers crossed! Pray hard!

I’d take them all back. We have no attacking players and no money to buy better than these three. All three would walk into our starting lineup at the moment.
I'd have Zirkzee or Mount or anybody over Rashford and Sancho half arsing it on the left.

I'd have Dalot, Maz, Diallo and Garnacho over Antony on the right.

Hopefully we get rid but we might be stuck with all 3. Hey ho! My Nigel Mansell Scalextrix set that hasn't worked since Christmas '92

Actually it would not bother me too much, all three would know they were drinking in the 'last chance saloon' and if they didn't perform as required, their next career move would probably be a one-way ticket to professional oblivion.

However, if they are given a choice, I honestly cannot see any of them returning to the 'pressure-cooker' that is OT

Why?

Most of here would have been happy with a loan spell with no obligation to buy (i.e Dortmund)

It's not about them.. it's about us, specifically about our finance in the upcoming summer window

If we are going into summer transfer with a budget planned on receiving 40m for Rashford, 25m for Sancho and ~15-20m for Antony, not receiving them is gonna throw a pretty big wrench into our plans

I suspect we can expect 4-5 signings if we manage to sell all 3 of them with at least 1 >50m plaer

If not, we can maybe expect 2-3 signings with no one above >50m, or 1-2 signings with 1 >50m

It's looking very bleak for our summer

It is about them; they have contracts with the club.

I don't see how this is refuting my statements? Does it matter if they have 1 year contract, or 5 year contract, or contract for perpetuity?

Wilcox and co still needs to plan for next season with budgetary constraints, which a lot could be alleviated by their departures, not just for their transfer fee but freeing their enormous wages as well (less so for Antony). Summer and next season would be a disaster if we cannot bring in sufficient reinforcements for Amorim

We need them to leave to allow us to buy. It doesn't matter if it's their last chance, second last chance, or their hundredth last chance, we need them to leave.

There is no question about any of them anymore, for those worried about them coming back and not contributing. There is no way Amorim will include them in his plans. Sancho is the only one who might not get a decent fee and I still think Chelsea will fancy him at just £20 million more.

I am 90% certain that the summer spending will be funded by Mainoo and Garnacho. Garnacho doesn’t really fit and will get a decent fee and I think it’s obvious that he wants someone more robust in midfield than Mainoo.

It might not make fans happy, but I think that is the way they will go. It’s probably £150 million for two assets that the coach could take or leave.

The wage space and extra change will be made up from getting rid of the Casemiro, Rashford and Sancho contracts.
