Not sure if it's been mentioned els where but there's a new podcast called "More Than a Match" presented by ex academy player D'mani Mellor and they have a few players from the academy on it.
First ep is with Brandon Williams but there are future episodes with James Garner, Joe Rothwell and Gabby George to name a few.
Only started watching it but Brandon comes across quite well. I hope he's done some growing up and shame he hasn't found a club.

Can't remember his name but don't think he ever played for United. I'm sure he's been on Stretford Paddock though...I watched it, was decent and yeah Williams came across as a nice lad who's obviously had some shit going on.
I was scratching my head trying to figure out who the other chap was? Any idea?

Well done Palace.
Well done Palace.
I thought we too looked after our former youth players, but perhaps not in the same way. I can't quite recall the details, but it was on one of the videos on the official site.
Cheers. Fair play to Palace. We do, but it’s not a concrete, contractual thing like this seems to be.
Well done Palace.
FA Youth Cup semi-final vs Aston Villa to be played 31st March as per FA website
So 5/6 United players?I have a horrible feeling the other three players mentioned are United players. Really hope not.
The Telegraph is paywalled. Any chance of giving me the gist? Which players are named?I have a horrible feeling the other three players mentioned are United players. Really hope not.
No players were named in the article. The only bit of info was that the parents who attended the academy matches claimed that certain players looked older, and that was supplemented by claims about certain players' photographs showing them playing in much older age groups in their African academies. Those were the only bits of substantial content in the article. The Telegraph is paywalled. Any chance of giving me the gist? Which players are named?

At the end of the day, both City and United have stated via their sources/reps that they aren't looking to skirt the rules. What most likely happened is similar to what Atalanta and Sassuolo went through with Amad and Hamed Junior Traoré, respectively. Regardless, if the evidence stands, and the claims are true, what consequences will the clubs face even if they claim to be fully ignorant?I might be wrong (and I really hope I am) but it might be so..
Thank you for that. From the four lines I was able to read, only United and City were mentioned. What cheats we are here in the North! No players were named in the article. United site says fans encouraged to buy tickets for blocks B2 and B3 (to group fans)Cheers for the heads up![]()

The Author seems to be following a particular X account who has a history of putting out things against Nkoto twins and Ibragimov's.I have a horrible feeling the other three players mentioned are United players. Really hope not.

I'd also argue that it is racist, if indeed the article references African academies. But as I said earlier, I have not read the article as it is behind a pay wall. That's such flaky evidence.
When do tickets go on sale for the youth cup semi final? Wouldn't mind going.
Was going to go myself but it's been confirmed as a Monday evening, Villa park for a 7pm kick off would be impossible without half a day off work for me.
Any idea where the final will be held?
As far as I know if we get to the final it’ll be at home so it’d be OT.
As it turns out, I'm a bit hard pressed to make it myself, as I'm working nights that week. Was going to go myself but it's been confirmed as a Monday evening, Villa park for a 7pm kick off would be impossible without half a day off work for me.

Interesting bit about Palmer there. Apparently we were close to getting him when he was 16 as he is a massive United fan but Wilcox dug in and kept Palmer at City.
