Yeah, that was nearly 20 years now that I think about it. It was a great service when you were at a house a party in college and ran out of drink. Not so much if you're ordering a bottle of vodka and 40 fags every day.
There's a couple round by me who use the drinking order services and it's both the best and worst thing that can happen to them per weekend. Copious amounts of alcohol on hand to the push of a button, far more than you'd be able to get if you estimated your needs for an evening/weekend and ran out, but were too pished to go a distance for more.
As with everything, moderation is key, but when their nights get out of control the amount of bottles you hear clinking into the recycle bin the next morning is insane, and often, they can't even close their bin and have bottles stacked around it by the time the two week cycle is up.
The likes of Co-Op via Just Eat etc. will bring you smokes to your door so long as you have ID.
Apps and the ease of ordering on vices have enhanced some lives enormously, I'm sure, and on the other side, brought descent into ruinous conditions (health or financial) at a massively accelerated rate.
