Absolutely shocking game of football but it’s very exciting for the drama.

This is incredible, how on earth is elbowing someone in the head on purpose not a red ?

Didn't Bruno do something similar earlier in the season too that wasn't punished? I remember him running back with another player and just threw the clearest elbow right into their back.

Can't stand him.

It was theoretically dangerous, it wasn't actually dangerous.
So the Newcastle guy should have took the hit, had his leg snapped then it would have been a red.

havertz was a foot off the floor and flying in no control whatsoever ever ffs

Rice is such a feck up by Utd. Should have got him instead of Casemiro, would have given us a solid base to build the midfield around for years, just such a solid player.

Casemiro sitting at home watching this Arsenal v Newcastle game must be thinking how no red cards in this match when he was getting reds for next to nothing.

Clearly scared of the backlash from Newcastle after not sending Havertz off. Absolute bottlejobs.

Saliba cruising against this low quality front three
Watching him in that half reminds me of van Dijk in his prime. Saliba has that Rolls Royce style about him, he cruises through games completely unflappable.

He's the key for them, because I think Gabriel is a bit rash and flaky beside him at time, but Saliba covers so well.

Newcastle play at some pace. Will be like walking zombies by the time they're playing Bournemouth this time next week.

With high intensity CL to contend with this season their style will really catch up with them around March/April if not before.

Is it possible to start a petition to prevent Gary Neville from commentating on football matches?

Im being deadly serious.

Howe has really tapped into the ‘nobody likes us, we don’t care’ type mentality.

Helped by thousands of Geordies frothing at the mouth.

Forearm smash and shooting the ball at someone while not in play not yellow cards anymore?

Sweet Jesus! What the feck is carragher on. It isn’t a red because he’s forearm smashed him rather than hitting him with his elbow? feck me. Apparently that’s what VAR thought too. I give up.
That is probably a bit of a cuddle in Scouseland.

So Havertz managed to get three Newcastle players yellow carded with one single foul?
German efficiency, Chelsea fans wish they still had him

It's ridiculous. These decisions shouldn't be outcome based. It's dangerous whether he makes contact or not.

The fact it's "theoretically" dangerous is unimportant - it was absolutely reckless and should have been a red. The ref had decided immediately it was a yellow though, he started running there with the yellow already in hand.

Hope Havertz scores the winner and then milks it to absurd levels, then injures Guimares for a second yellow.

Honestly don’t know how more cards aren’t being given it’s barely a football match anymore, just fouls and pushing each other over
