I think Chelsea move for him.

I don't think Bohley gives a feck. Get a striker in on the cheap. Put him on a 7 year contract and rehab him.

Some Chelsea fans wont like it but some will love the idea of getting one over on United.

I don't see him moving to Saudi, certainly not the PIF clubs. They have no need for him, he's just unneccesary drama and signing him would just perpetuate the stereotypes that Saudi are trying to change ('Sportswash') with their current project. Wouldn't make any sense at all really. It isn't like they are struggling to attract Prem stars.
Italian side probably the most likely I'd say.

Agree with this. Saudi want the big name. They are not looking for bargains who may cause PR issues.

If they thought there was any chance of getting away with it then I wouldn't doubt it for a second.

Yeah he is never going to Chelsea, they are sponsorless because the fans protested the use of a gambling company, no way they could sneak him in the backdoor.

Nah, that’ll never happen.

Why not?

United won't like it, but if a Prem team comes knocking, I don't think they could hold Mason back.

Other clubs may be thinking that if MUFC have performed the investigation and found that he "did not commit the offences in respect of which he was originally charged" then they can point to this and move forward.

I think Chelsea could be a candidate. Bohley may think that if he can get a striker for next to nothing, then he could take heat for a year, rehab him and move him on for profit.

The media handwringing will prevent any PL club from taking him until he’s been on loan and his image is improved.

I really do not see a move materializing right now. The claims of multiple clubs enquiring seems more like a poorly placed briefing from our side to try and drum up interest but in reality what club is going to want to deal with the circus and potential lost sponsorships that will follow Mason signing? If he does move it is going to be a loan and it will be somewhere far off the beaten track, no club in a big league or with any kind of stature is going to want the association. I still feel the most likely outcome will be that we end up paying up the remainder of his contract and he gets released.

There is a zero chance a PL team takes him . It’s less than zero actually .

No one is buying a player who comes with the baggage that MG does for 20mil. Especially as he has no played for 18 months.
I have no idea what his current transfer value is. Without his problems he would be £100M so would have thought £20M was achievable, but I may have got it wrong and we end up letting him walk for nothing.

I'm doubtful foreign clubs would care that much to be honest. The evidence that was made public and looms so large probably won't have as much weight elsewhere (and the media attention over it less pervasive).
There would probably be some debates but to the point of forcing back a move ? Not certain.

Chelsea fans don't give a single shit about that. On the list of clubs Chelsea fans dislike, you probably barely make the top 10.

That made me feel warm and fuzzy

He can only go somewhere that is far away from UK media spotlight. Major league in europe and US are very unlikely. Turkey?

Boehly is a co-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers. There is no effing way he'll bring Greenwood to Chelsea. Todd may be a psycho, but he's no moron.

They iced the whole massive deal they had with that pitcher Trevor Bauer that was involved in somewhat similar circumstances, didn't they ?

Why do people keep saying Italy?

Probs cause an actual fecking Italian judge recently decided a janitor pulling down a 17 ye old girls pants at school and slapping her arse couldn’t be sexual harassment or sexual assault and was clearly just banter because it lasted less than 10 seconds.
If Juve, Napoli, Milan or Inter sign him, I don’t for a second think you’ll see anything like the outrage that we did here, certainly not with celebs and politicians diving in on it.

Less media pressure, a culture where fans (which is key) are less likely to be aware of his past and care - both because of language and southern italy being what it is. The machismo culture would work in his favour. There is also the fact that Italian clubs have already made enquiries according to reports. There are a number of clubs there that likely would take him.

So media lynch mob that wanted him not to play for United, don't want him playing anywhere else also it seems?

So what is the end solution according to this media led lynch mob would love to know?

And his baby and his alleged victim is involved in this as well and they surely want him playing in a big stage asap.

Considering Serie A did a campaign last season and previous about domestic abuse where all the players had red (paint I think) on their face, I wouldn't be too sure.

As I said before, ETH will give his mate Overmars a call (who has had his own episode that resulted in him leaving Ajax) and Mason will play there for Antwerp in the Belgian league for a year, score a hatful of goals, and then there will be interest in a permanent deal for quite a few clubs.

Serie A has the lipstick campaign every year to raise awareness of domestic violence against women, that sees players wear a red mark on their cheek. I honestly cannot see how they would want a person like Mason Greenwood in the league.

Hahah, Serie A do anti racist things all the time too….

If it was say Napoli, they’ll point to the fact he’s been convicted of nothing, and the macho Southern Italian culture will barely bat and eyelid.

feck off with the media lynch mob bollocks. The majority of fans wanted him gone and that had nothing to do with the media, that was simply people knowing right from wrong.
This whole "media lynch mob" is one of those really easy, really lazy catch phrases people can chuck around to divert from the actual issue at hand. Keep repeating it to yourself till it becomes fact.

Also "alleged victim?? Is that another method of trying to minimise or discredit what actually happened??
WTF is wrong with you?

To be honest given the baggage he has it is not worth the hassle for any club to be associated with him.

The majority of Manchester United fans do not have a RedCafe account &/or post on Twitter or Reddit. That’s not an opinion it’s counting.

We do not know what the majority of United fans wanted, what we do know is he will be leaving so speaking of lazy catchphrases that one can go too.

Well, Napoli's owner and his son who owns Bari are marking a day in November that promotes elimination of domestic violence against women. Would be really bizarre (which is in the realms of De Laurentiis in fairness) to sign Greenwood. For example, with Bari they received huge backlash for trying to sign Portanova who sexually assaulted a woman. He's on the books of Genoa but hasn't played in months due to protests

Also, I believe Greenwood would be considered a non EU player and Italians clubs can only sign 1 per season so it may have already ruled out some clubs.
