of course he's a journalist, he hosts a show on NBC Sports

why do people hate on this guy so much?
I think the problem with Phil Brown is he has a habit of posting a load of United related shite/speculation on Twitter. Which is fine he's a United fan but 99.9% of the time he's not posting as a journalist but a fan and some people recognise this. But then you have some people hang on his word as if he's ITK on every transfer because he hosts a radio show in America.

And thus the great Phil Brown divide was created.

Makes me laugh ,continual hate, then he tweets something which turns out to be true and people eat humble pie and then they go back to hating.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Most of his tweets are bullshits or speculations that the average fans like you and me can come up with. I can make a tweeter account doing the same thing as he's been doing and I'd get a few of it right too. Actually let me try it now, Mason Mount will be a ManUnited player by July at maximum.

Actually he's not a qualified journalist. I like him and follow him on Twitter, he comes across as a decent guy.

That's a depressing image. Next seasons fixtures are out, shirts out today, pre-season kicks off in 2 weeks - and rather than give any sort of update (wouldn't even have to be an announcement - just something official) instead, they have security brought in, in preparation for a protest.

Hoping for some snippet of official information today. Really concerned things are about to get toxic. If you read through any comments when the club post something on social media, it's already started - got this horrible thought that parents taking their kids today to buy a shirt are going to get abused. The media has already picked up on the protests and it show just how far the club are away from the fans these days, that a simple update could avoid this.

Don't all journalists do that, it's called speculation.

Doesn't take away the fact he is closer to things than you or I.

Nothing will happen other than the kit release.
The glazers wouldn’t let either one (kit launch or major takeover announcement) get in the way of the other with regards to publicity

another day of no news expected

Aren't journalists a licensed profession? A TV or Radio host/pundit isn't necessarily a journalist as far as I know.

So are the Q3 figures definitely coming out at 7am EST or is that just Bezinga's suggestion? I know the AGM is tomorrow at 3:30pm EST.

If we are lucky, latest news from Qatar’s side is probably going to be next week as it’s Eid tomorrow and looking at the Qatari bank holidays, they seem to take a week off or so for it. No doubt Jassim will be preoccupied with that.

It's a very loosely used term.

It varies from someone who writes articles/blogs to people who interview people other than their immediate family to people with degrees in journalism.

Had an ex-partner who was a interviewer/journo then editor and eventually managing editor of multiple magazines. But always referred herself as a journalist.

Can't help but think this protest is going to be an embarrassment. Having at 9.45am on a work day during term time seems a bit daft to me in terms of getting people there. Hopefully a lot turn up, but I can't see it being enough to make them shut the megastore or anything. I understand why it's today, as it's kit launch day.

As said earlier.

What is a work day? 9-5 mon-fri is a thing of the past... I'm not working right now, and I'm sure millions of others aren't.

Same group protested some of the hedge funds by putting stickers on their office doors. They were very proud of it in twitter
