I finally got around to listening to Mitten in Talk of the Devil's, and to be honest I thought he was pretty reasonable about it, and I also thought of Chelsea when he was talking about a preference for London. I wouldn't be surprised to be honest.
I imagine as soon as Frenkie agrees to leave they’ll slap an €80m lever induced bid on City’s desk and get Silva straight in. But who the hell do City get to replace him? They’ve lost a lot of good players already.
If it does, they'll have to play their first few games without their new players as they won't be able to register them.

Chelsea have a shitload of midfielders at the club; Jorginho, Pulisic, Mount, Barkley, Ziyech, Havertz, Kante and that's off the top of my head, they have way more than that. They are bloated in the midfield department to the point that many of them can't even make bench or squad, let alone the first-team. Why would they even consider adding another one?
It's far more likely that Sport are trolling for clicks. It probably worked too.

Sport are probably talking rubbish but most of those players you've mentioned are attacking midfielders/wingers so they're not in competition with FDJ who's a CM. Jorginho is the only one who plays similar postion at Chelsea and De Jong is a younger better player so theoretically Chelsea may be interested although I think it's unlikely.
If Barca sell Frenkie & then buy Silva, how does that help their finances ?
