Hmm I probably would've preferred Chelsea to win the tie, I think they give City a better game over two legs. Real are way too reliant on Benzema currently.
Over 2 legs, I think both teams lose to City anyway.

We still have a chance if we can score first in Spain but will be very tough. I don't agree with the scrapping of away goals but right now very glad it's happened.

Unai got a raw deal at Arsenal. If he was backed like Arteta, Arsenal would be in a much better position by now.
I rate him very highly since his sevila days ( i won't hold that psg stint against him the team actually played nice football and everything that could have went wrong went wrong against them that day) but overall I think he didn't really fit arsenal to begin with especially right after Wenger bad choice by both parties.

Not as easy for Bayern when teams actually defend, which they don't do much of in Bundesliga.

La Liga is better than people give it credit for btw, still the 2nd best league in my view.

Schooled by Emery. All he knows about attacking is volume, volume, volume, no finesse, no plan, no intelligence, no control. feck him.
Calm down.
We arguably played the best group stage ever.
Villarreal just eliminated Juventus. It's not like they are a 2nd division team.

We also lost quite some first legs in CL knockout matches under holy Pep.

I'm very disappointed by the performance tonight but stop acting like this was our normal level tonight.

I thought they might win but we were worse than I thought we'd be. I've been thinking recently about what happens when 2 decent teams face eachother in the CL back to back seasons. Often the team who lost the previous year knock out the other team. Almost certainly happening to us now. Ah well.

Villarreal have forgiven too many goals today.

It is our normal level. This is what we are like under Nagelsmann. 6 players in the box standing on each others feet when the cross gets drilled in. Then catch a counter and concede or barely get away with it. Run forward again to stand on each others feet.

Ingenious tactics.

Told you, Chelski were only good against tired/injured-to-death squads in the COVID season that no one gave a shit about

I've watched a lot of real this season and they have the choke in them , if Chelsea could get their shit back in order they have very very decent chance to turn it around, especially seeing how anceloti has always had the tendency to let things get out of his hand.

One problem with Bayern Munich is that they are too used to playing crap in the Bundesliga this season. The second-best team got smashed by the second-best team in Scotland. Says it all, to be honest.

Liverpool will win it all now.

I feel totally confident in them doing that. Maybe not the Fa cup.

I wouldn't say Real Madrid were great. I felt that Chelsea shot themselves in the foot on multiple occasions by being incredibly sloppy. The third goal was atrocious, but they also lost the ball far too easily for the other two. Sloppy passing and control.

Chelsea also had chances. On the other hand, they had Lukaku on the end of them, so I guess you can't really qualify them as chances.

The only positive about the game is Bayern can't play worse next Tuesday. Sleeping in the attack and playing drunk in defense.
Terrible performance.

Good match Carvajal, Valverde, Mendy( he gives a lot of security), Modric as usual and of course Karim. They were good with the ball
Good game Real Madrid. Never know what the second half could have been without that Mendy brainfart. Killed any momentum we may have had.
That was key. All the talk and tactics of the break collapses in a minute

Even the chances they created when Lukaku was on the bench?

I would say the best chances were the ones when he was on the pitch. At least one of those headers should have been scored. He didn't even get them on target.

You can see how much is means to Benzema to score at Stamford Bridge. Career highlight for him tonight without a doubt.
He just scored three times as many CL goals as legendary Hazard has at Stamford Bridge. How can he not be overjoyed.

I was surprised by your energy and intensity. Outplayed us for most of the night.

Remember we did actually beat Villareal in the group stage.

Just shame they improved and we did not.

Chelsea still have the chance in second leg. If this fecking players of chelsea get a grip. Madrid came with purpose and done brilliantly. I think chelsea will give very good match to Madrid at Bernabeu.
