yea still RAWK worthy.

We're owned by Americans. Not the moral compass for the world really is it?
If you can't see the difference between being used as a propaganda tool for a state that sponsors terrorist groups that carry out atrocities in the City the club is situated in, against being owned by American business people, then good luck to you.

You do realise we are not owned by the American government right?!

Betraying brilliant City.

Betraying..

Ffs..
Haven't you heard? He owes everything to St. Pep since he was coached by him before and is literally Judas for joing us. Oh, and we're just a moneybags club strong-arming Alexis away from Arsenal while bullying ickle City...

We are owned by private businessmen. PSG, from what I remember, are owned by a investment group of the Qatari government. There is a difference.
Not sure why Qatar is being brought up in this thread though.

I would have thought this will be announced before the Stoke (if it is happening). Surely perfect opportunity to sell a few shirts, bring him out at half time etc.

From here to there
City's Major trophies

League Champions (counting only top division champions) = 4
FA Cup = 5
League Cup = 4
European Cup Winners Cup = 1

Total = 14

Number of those trophies won in the last 10 seasons = 5

United's Major Trophies

League Champions (counting only top division champions) = 20
FA Cup = 12
League Cup = 5
European Cup = 3
Europa League = 1
European Cup Winners Cup = 1
European super cup = 1
Intercontinental Cup = 1
FIFA World Club Cup = 1

Number of those trophies won in the last ten seasons = 11

On what planet is choosing United over City about money?

Some crazy goal journalist was accusing United of being evil and ruining football with their money, which seems a bizarre line of thinking considering the regimes that own City and PSG.

HOW have City turned into some moral-high ground, holy football club that journalists are lapping up? They seem to have short memories if they can't remember they were practically founded 10 years ago. During the barren years (2008-2012) throwing money at players is all they did.

They will never earn my respect no matter how much they win. They are everything wrong with football in this day and age. A hollow shell of a football club, Barcelona wannabes with zero identity. Noel fecking Gallagher is their best representative FFS

Rant aside, it's music to my ears that Sanchez is turning down those twats who think they're some kind of irresistible force that no footballer can turn down. It'll be even sweeter when he scores the winner against them in the derby.
It's hilarious isn't it. Given that article about the owners shady past that came out recently to, You would think the press should be hammering City. But Pep...

I don’t really know. Maybe @FCBarca or someone else know.
Several factors.

Tata Martino was the coach in a disastrous season with lack of cohesion & unity in the squad. The infamous rotten apple was Cesc and he was sold but not before Alexis who had difficulties being a regular started in competition with Pedro but also in truly adapting to Barcelona's style of play. Personally, I thought he was fitting better & better in the end but it was clear they were after a #9 with Lucho coming in and they merely needed a serviceable winger rather than someone as creative and in need of touches as Alexis. Plus, he was going to command a bigger fee than Pedro in the market. In the end, they sold both Pedro & Alexis in the same summer but I think again this was now due to the understanding they had MSN and no one was going to get minutes ahead of them

Journos getting outdated information at this point. Wenger said it would be decided in 48 hours, meaning that everything had already progressed to an advanced stage. I am sure whatever is in that article is atleast 2 weeks old.

Chief muppit slayer has spoken, its very much on.
Looks like a City briefing. Jackson almost has the exact same story as Sam Lee. City were played by his agent and they are refusing to play ball. MUFC will play ball.

As i said in previous posts, Sanchez only cares about leaving arsenal. "Playing for Pep" is a myth, and all these article are unraveling to BS machine at city,

This Alexis transfer has illustrated some really weird stuff in terms of the media that I genuinely didn't think existed before. The idea of the press being 'ABU' was a bit cringeworthy to me previously but starting with the Rio (a former player and supposed United fan ffs) interview when he said he'd definitely go to City if he were Sanchez, things have been genuinely bizarre to watch and read.

Why has nobody mentioned the history of United and the number 7 shirt, the fact that Sanchez could come in and be an immediate icon at one of the biggest if not the biggest club in the world, as if that wouldn't appeal to him?

Instead the majority of press and pundits seem to think Sanchez should to go to City to pick up a Premier League winners medal that he would have had literally no input into. And if he doesn't do that then he's greedy and solely driven by cash??! Not by playing at Old Trafford in front of 75,000 people. Not by playing for the club that's won more league titles than any other. Not by playing for a manager that's won the league in every country he's managed in. So we pay a bit more and offer him better terms, how is that different to ANY other transfer where more than one club is interested in a player?

The narrative is absolutely insane, how can any journo justify this cash or Pep nonsense? I don't know why it's even a thing! For crying out loud their whole club has revolved around money since the takeover, namely offering more money to get the team they have now. £150 million on full backs alone! Much as Andy Gray has his faults, that bit of video where he's arguing with George Boateng is the only instance where I've seen someone actually incredulous at this whole things, basically saying "what the hell are you on about?! It's Manchester United, why would he NOT want to go there?"

Ugh it's annoying me too much, I'm going back to hitting F5 on this thread and nursing this Sanchez-inspired semi while listening to "it's not easy being green" until I see a photo of him in our training shirt on a hospital bed doing a thumbs up

City close to accepting defeat? Seriously? What is that even mean! He just knows that it's us who leading the race but doesn't want to write off City just yet which is fine but the phrase "closing on accepting defeat" ffs.

IF we want him? Nah, I reckon after putting in all that work and beating off City to this signing we'll decide to change our mind about wanting him.
It's a typical journo hedging comment. The important part is that his story is almost identical to Sam Lee's. Which suggests a briefing by city to get the PR spin out early.

No reports about him travelling to manchester and/or having a medical so far? Can only mean that we probably won’t see anything official today. Hopefully tomorrow

I was hoping that before todays game he will be presented at the centre of the pitch. "Old trafford please welcome our new number 7 aleeeexis sanchez". Oh boy, sign already...

All this sounds like a PR spin by City to make out that the fees were extortionate for Sanchez and his agent and to make them look bad for supposedly wanting more money. It's these 'saving face' tactics that are convincing me Sanchez is definitely all but ours! The bitterness of the pundits and press is just making it all the sweeter.

Boateng is embarrassing in that clip.
The lack of ability to see the bigger picture is staggering there. City went from being a decent team to a very good one in the space of a window yet he refuses to acknowledge that the same sort of growth is possible for United.

It isn’t even ten o’clock yet. It takes what, half an hour by plane from London?
People need to relax, it’ll be sorted soon.
