That city team has literally won feck all! It's mind boggling.
You'd think that they've won everything and that they represent all that is good and just in this World.
While MUFC represent everything that is evil. It's as if Sanchez has defected to the dark side.

Where 4 years ago, when Moyes was in charge, we were the laughing stock and people would pity us.
Now, there is clearly fear that next season, MUFC may be back at the top.

Give peas a chance.
Asking the question, where's the 'honour' picking up a winners medal off the back of other people's hard work? I am seriously baffled by some of these twitter numpties.

This transfer saga has shown what a sterling job Simon Pearce and all of City’s PR team have done. Somehow a narrative is taking place that City are football purity, regardless of them existing in their current state solely because of a brutal dictatorship, built on slavery and human rights abuses, which is seeking power and legitimacy in the Western world.

I'm sure if roles were reversed and we were miles clear at the top and were about to sign Sanchez he'd be getting slagged off for exactly that. Taking the easy option etc.

It's any excuse to pile on Utd and Mourinho.

People are acting like we're Man City in that we've just won the lottery and have nothing else. Yes, if we do get him it'll have been the money that gave us the edge, but let's not pretend there's nothing else that would have persuaded him to come. Playing for one of the biggest teams in the world, at one of the best stadiums in the world, under one of highest regarded managers in the world (regardless of my opinion of him), for a team who, unlike his current one, are showing clear intent in getting to the top and are currently the holders of two trophies.

"Have to judge case individually though"

God I miss the days when everyone recognised goal.com as clickbait.
Just scanned through his twitter. Very anti Premier League and England. Just a latin wankfest. Everything is shite here except Pep according to this guy, oh and Conte.

Say we don't deserve our CL spot, just beat pub teams. Pogba flop.

Think he's a Juve fan, not sure but very bitter. I dare not go back to when Pogba left. Might be like that Pogboom character on twitter.

So why did they let him go?

Perez doesn’t want Barcelona cast offs. Figo, Ronaldo and Neymar are different stories as Barcelona wanted to keep them.
I mean it's pretty simple.

As good as Alexis is, Neymar and Suarez were/are better.

And he wasn't going to get guaranteed play time. It was win-win for all parties.

So I guess from now on any time a player signs for Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham... whoever, any team not in first place at that specific time, all we'll hear is that is was for money or they had no other choice. Hmm, yeah right.
Good to see you back in the transfer forum :)

I have a neat little theory. All these cnuts painting city as the messiah of football are angry that they didn't get the first scoop on this transfer, and so have gone to suckle on the Man City teet for inside info.

These journalists have had to re assess their network; because it obviously has a massive blind side and that is Man Utd transfers. Utd Transfers are the biggest source of exposure for them and they are not happy that they've been given the silent treatment by Utd.

It's only Utd that seem to be able to make transfers that genuinely anger and upset supposed neutrals on a bizarre moral level.

Remember the fecking drama when we sold Welbeck and got Falcao in on loan?

I have to say the reaction to this possible Sanchez deal has surprised even me, I cannot believe just how offended people appear to be. It's hilarious
I think it's because the media darling (J.Guardiola) is getting his arse handed to him. This has caused a lot of butt-hurt and the media/press/pundits are kicking up a a fuss. After all, Jose and MUFC are has-beens...aren't they?
Personally, I love the fact that Jose and Woodward went head to head against MCFC, for this transfer.
If we can get Sanchez, this won't have been a good week for Pep and MCFC. They've already lost to LFC on the pitch. And they could also lose out in the transfer market.

If we do get Sanchez, as looks likely right now, it really does make so many of them look embarrassingly out of the loop. I mean even as recently as this morning they were all on Sunday Supplement saying he would go City.

That will probably be a big part of the resentment. They've been made to look clueless.

Steve, you've more personality, wit, charm and a better command of the English language than 90% of football journalists, put together.
Thx m8, u roc.

Well, Souness is sort of right. We almost certainly did tap up Sanchez. That's how transfers work. Every team does it, usually without having to publicly apologise later like prats.
If we did, so did city surely? If he'd agreed to go there beforehand, how could he have in any way even had those conversations legitimately without city having a bid accepted or have Arsenal grant permission to talk to their player?

In fact, isn't the Bosman rule in effect so he's free to negotiate at this point? So while he wouldn't actually leave on a free in the end... He's able to negotiate given he has six months left right?

Pretty much this. It shortens the list of reliable journalists substantially. It's pretty much Di Marzio that comes out of this with all the glory.

There is very little speculation on this; we are interested in Sanchez and both managers have hinted as such. The only one that knew was Di Marzio.

It is about time we started throwing some money around. Sanchez is a relative bargain mind at this price.

Yup, pretty much. The media have gone ape shit over city this season and anything to break that narrative will be frowned upon. How about joining a historic club, becoming the main man with a guaranteed starting spot, being a part of the comeback of a giant in football. Nothing of this is mentioned. It's like he's considering joining West Brom because they pay more ( Nothing bad intended towards WB ).

Sky Bet has odds on which team will sign Sanchez. I found it interesting.

1/4 Man Utd
4/1 Man City

That tells me the story.

Betting odds are based on betting patterns. The price of Man Utd is low because lots of people are betting on Man Utd, therefore Skybet's risk exposure is lower.

Odds tell you nothing, they are only ever reactions to news. Golden rule to live by.

Feel like I'm going mad that no one else is seeing this. No one batted an eye lid when a 31 year old Ronaldo was 80% returning to Old Trafford for £100m last summer. £35m these days buys you a half-decent youngster with a bit of pace.
