Say what you want about John Cross - my favourite is that he has the bloated face of a corpse after a month in a canal - but he is absolutely right about this, unless he isn't, in which case he can feck right off, the canal-faced cunnnnnnt.

Ffs  cnut sounds like Pete Tong as well.

Well, at least then, I would like for him to come out and say I was absolutely clueless 2 days ago.
Yeah but noone is going to do that mate!

The English journos tend to know nothing. The Spanish and Italian ones actually have contacts.

Apparently we have a good shot at landing Sanchez, however, I'm not sure how I feel about the whole 3 targets for the summer, one of them signed in January. Don't get me wrong, I believe Sanchez is a very good signing, yet at the end of his playing career, this one contract might be his last. If that means we're going to miss out on Dybala, I'm sure not pleased.
Dybala would be the same of Pogba's level signing, another statement, another step in the right direction, one for the future.
How do you guys see it?

The English journos on this believed the smug briefing from City that Sanchez would crawl over hot coals just for the privilege of licking the sweat off Pep’s balls. No chance he would sign for United.

His Twitter profile pic looks like Mourinho has shoved a finger up his arse and he’s just accepted his fate...probably by a cANAL.

From what Wenger said about Sanchez being on standby (as in about to move clubs) it can only be the finer details of the transfer that are still being worked on, transfer fee and personal terms must have been agreed by now (I suspect agents fees is all that's left)

Wengers future could easily be decided as well - if this was my club, I would be so seriously worried:

Petr Cech - turns 36 in 4 months
Laurent Koscielny - 32 - looks to be in decline
Nacho Monreal - turns 32 next month
Per Mertesacker - 33 - looks too slow
Hector Bellerin - 23 - the only real talent in defense, how long will he stay ?
Alexis Sanchez - 29 - out of contract and on his way out of the club
Mesut Özil - 29 - probably the same as Sanchez
Oliver Giroud - 31 - will leave in the summer
Theo Walcott - soon 29 - on his way out of the club
Santi Cazorla - 33 - career over ?
Danny Welbeck - 27 - yet to reach 50 League goals. Scored 13 in 3.5 seasons for Arsenal. Not good enough
Mohamed Elneny - 25 - hardly ever plays - not good enough
Calum Chambers - 23 - hardly played after his first season at the club. Not good enough

Realistically - 10-12 players could easily leave Arsenal in the next 1.5 years. Either because they want to leave, or because they aren't good enough

Yep, they are fecked. About to lose the only two world-class players they have, and probably going to get a combined £30m for the both of them at this rate which doesn't even get you a Danny Drinkwater these days.

Furthermore, their best prospects are the likes of Alex Iwobi, Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles, sorry but not a patch on some of the players the other top sides have coming through and I wouldn't expect any of these guys to be anything special.

They're incredibly reliant now on a player that spends 80% of his time in the physio room as well and is also out of contract at the end of the season currently. Ramsey is another who's out of contract soon (2019), who's caught between probably not being good enough as a starter but being a great squad player, but he's on £100k+ a week already.

They arguably need over the next few windows:
  • New long-term GK
  • Another RB for depth/competition.
  • A new commanding CB + maybe 1 more for depth (Mertesacker retiring, Chambers not good enough, Koscielny ageing).
  • Proper DM
  • New CM playmaker (depending on Wilshere/Cazorla futures I guess).
  • New AM to replace Ozil
  • 3 new wide-forwards (needed a RW anyway, replace Sanchez, greater depth).
  • Another ST
Probably the best vaguely realistic scenario for their starting XI next season IMO is something like:

--------------Lacazette----------------
-----------------------------------------
Lemar-------Mkhitaryan-------Malcom
-----------------------------------------
-------Wilshere-----N'Zonzi------------
------------------------------------------
Kolasinac--Koscielny--De Vrij--Bellerin
------------------------------------------
-------------------Cech------------------

Andy Gray speaking sense. George Boateng sounds like an idiot and says it like if there's a gap now, then there's no chance of that changing in the next 5 years. Because things don't change from season to season in football

You tell them Andy. That George Boateng lad is out of his depth sitting there talking out of his ass on live TV. How about Sanchez coming to United to make history and being the main star, opposed to going to City to collect a PL medal that others have already won for him while being just another squad player.

I posted this back in the summer but for those who might be new here...

Di Marzio PAYS his contacts for real news. It's why he gets the best news first.

Our UK media work off rumours and hearsay. Or they simply make it up.

Apparently Di Marzio has spent a fortune on paying agents and club officials for breaking news stories.

I think transfer fee, personal details and agent fee is likely sorted, it’s just pending on the Malcolm transfer.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Malcom be signed but not allowed to move until the end of the season so they get Mkhitaryan on loan until then who will get the chance to play for a chance of earning a good transfer in the summer.

It's fecking bonkers.

The concept that choosing City is the romantic option and choosing Utd is the greedy mercenary option is so fecking absurd I can't get my head around it. It's like a lot of the media and a lot of ex players are personally offended he might rather come to Old Trafford. I mean we're only the biggest club in the country who will pay him big money and give him a chance to play for trophies. Why on earth would anyone want to come here??

We've won 3 fecking trophies in the last 2 seasons ! , which is more than City have won by the way. I think it ties in to something you've mentioned before, this narrative that we've had an epic Shakespearean tragic fall from power which just isn't true. And us signing Sanchez away from City goes against that narrative which is why they seem to be struggling to accept it.

It’s not even City’s fault tbf, it’s the media’s desperation to turn every half thought out micro topic into a declarative talking point to upsell the PL and their own coverage of it. City are the best team this season you say? So are they maybe even the best team ever? Discuss. Only tonight on The Debate. And also every hour on the hour on our rolling sports news channel (because please god we need stories. Give us stories. We’re a whole fecking channel of this!)...

Whatever is happening now needs to be the bestest and most important thing ever, because we’re the bestest and most important League, and this is all hugely important, and also buy our papers and subscribe to our channels covering it, because you can’t miss this once in a lifetime super amazing event. At least not until the next super amazing once in a lifetime event. Coming soon, next season. Or next week. Who knows? feck it.

I think it's mainly them getting a replacement in before they announce it so their fans don't go apoplectic. Once they either agree on Malcom or Mkhi then it will be announced. Or that's my take.

Yep, I used to be a skeptic. But it's obvious that Di Marzio has a direct line to people in the industry.

He is basically gospel for players in Seria A, and one of the most reliable for those outside the Seria A.

But Wenger didn't mention United

Crossy mentioning it is good enough for me. Plus, he says Sanchez's agent is on his way to Manchester, so it must be common knowledge even among English journos, and especially those close to Arsenal by now as to which Manchester club he is headed to.
