Exactly, all they need to do is hit Continue however they need to ensure they save the game.

So according to the Juve "tier list" Romeo Agresti would be in the top 3 for transfer rumours.

There is another meeting today, where Juve will demand the 120m euros. Pogba wants to go to MUFC. If Romeo Agresti is somewhat reliable. We could get an answer today.
The price was probably agreed in around 10 minutes of the meeting. The rest of the time is the cocaine, hookers and caviar. a 2nd meeting is generally needed to remember what happened. What I really don't get is how the hell it can take several days to settle for a price. It's something that should be doable in a meeting within an hour.
So what happened yesterday? United made a formal offer of ~£85m but Juve said that they want £100m. All that should be done in a 30 second conversation.
What is this? Westeros? The price was probably agreed in around 10 minutes of the meeting. The rest of the time is the cocaine, hookers and caviar. a 2nd meeting is generally needed to remember what happened.
friday!!After doing a 5 min check, every single journo with any reliability on that list has reported Pogba to United. Just a matter of when...
@Drz I didnt say Griezmann wasnt a top 10 attacking player. I was referring to the discussions in the previous thread about posters talking about players and judging based on them being a top XI player. I didnt he isnt among the best. I said he isnt the best. There is a difference. And you're claiming Pogba hasnt "done anything" but doesnt that apply to Griezmann as well? What has he accomplished so far?
I doubt it but your enthusiasm is infectious!friday!!
wouldn't surprise me if Raiola had a deal with papers that it will take some time so they can sell their shitty articlesIt's mostly for show.
Raiola has a hint of littlefinger about him yes. What is this? Westeros?

Unfortunately our Woody isn't as hot shot a CEO as you clearly are. What I really don't get is how the hell it can take several days to settle for a price. It's something that should be doable in a meeting within an hour.

This isn't football manager. The entire process is mostly legal, everything has to be written out, checked, confirmed, agreed to, processed, evaluated then signed.
The Law firm i'm at when it comes to any new deals it's a long & strenuous process of raising paperwork and having it checked and confirmed can take months depending on the size of the deal. Then it needs to be sent other to the other party, that can take 1 day, 1 week, 1 month maybe longer.
Then we need to countersign, from there it's a process of evaluating all the terms and conditions involved and many more steps.
With football you'll need to consider all the personal terms that need to be included, terms from both clubs, sponsorship and image rights of both the club and the player, add-on bonuses & wages, clauses in contract. Agent terms and conditions.
Honestly the fact that it gets turned around as quickly as it does is quite remarkable.
Romeo Agresti who is one of the most connected Journos for juve says the second meeting will be held today .
By done I mean an official announcement on the United site.I think we will hear something tonight as a lot of it will be formalities considering how long we have spent preparing for this deal.
A players value is mostly derived from his marketability and not his performances. Obviously players mostly become marketable due to their performances on the pitch but in this case, Pogba is one of the most marketable players in the world and that's why we are talking £100m +. It's no more complex than that really.
Football is a business like everything else, whether we like it or not.
pretty muchIts not dragging on. It only appears as such because there is a long thread on a forum with people who don't have any information discussing something they don't know anything about.
I was about to say something like this, but you've done it in a much more succinct and erudite way. Good post.
It's a legal minefield, and it probably takes a big team of lawyers on both sides to sort out quickly.
In fact, here they come now
He's Varys' greedy twin.Raiola has a hint of littlefinger about him yes.
Sure, I'm fine with that definition. But that is pretty much the problem, marketability is probably measured by how many Pogba shirts we could sell, but that is correlated to the "illusion", "love" for Pogba, not his ability to get us winning, or playing good football. I didn't feel we needed to be more marketable as much as I believe we need to perform better.
That said what if Pogba comes in and does a Fellaini, does that throw his marketability out the window?
United will make a lot of money from Pogba's marketing. After he becomes the world's most expensive player playing in the EPL he will attract lots of sponsors for United and himself and of course United will have about 50% of his image rights.
He's worth about £50 million as a footballer right now but with his potential and marketability it will be a good move for United in the long term.
I dunno, Rooney seems to have maintained his marketability despite being poor at football for the last few years.Sure, I'm fine with that definition. I think if we pull this one off, we might have to give Woody some credit on the football side of the job for once.
That's a meaningless point, he isn't great but it doesn't mean that he did wrong.
Manchester United will make an official £100 million bid for Paul Pogba on Wednesday as they close in on the Juventus midfielder’s signature.
I think its more down to relationship between Jose and RaiolaI think if we pull this one off, we might have to give Woody some credit on the football side of the job for once.

Squawka "Exclusive" - via Greg Stobart
Since when is "squawka" a source?
no idea, it's quite bizarre. Most of their "news" has been player analysis after the transfer has happened. Yet they are running this as an exclusive. Are Squawka supposed to be ITK?
A transfer of a player is nothing like any other deal. Between the clubs the only thing that needs to be agreed is the Transfer Fee, payment terms and any sell-on terms. The other terms that you mentioned would have to be agreed with the player himself and would not form part of any discussion with the selling club. This isn't football manager. The entire process is mostly legal, everything has to be written out, checked, confirmed, agreed to, processed, evaluated then signed.

Unless they are using that "reliable" goal italy journo as their source and just over-hyping their article, as he's reporting the same thing. They don't source their information. "Sources close to the deal". Whose sources ? Squakas ? A complete joke.
That's only a tiny fraction of it. Internet hits, poster views, sponsor adds etc. The list is endless/as long as the imagination of our commercial department which by all accounts is bloody good!Sure, I'm fine with that definition. I don't think we want be reminded of that one.
Why not for the other good signings of this window?
I think its more down to relationship between Jose and Raiola
