Gaming FIFA 16

These prices are crazy, bought Modric (perfect CM, buy him if you can) for 70k yesterday and now his cheapest bin is 114k :wenger:

Iniesta is great too, but a bit worse than Modric imho (worse shots and physical attributes), gonna try James next and Hulk (if one is ever for sale)

This training feature is kind of OP.

That newgen keeper I mentioned earlier, picked up in August, it's March now, he's just turned 16, so can be promoted. 73 Ovr, a total of +12 so far, doesn't sound that wild, but I'm in League 1, and he'll instantly be the best player at the club, with the highest Ovr.

Maybe your are overdoing it with him. That's great if your in to playing the game like that but I suppose if you want more realism spread his training out a bit and focus on other players.

I really really really like it. It's tricky at first, and especially seeing as the hard pass is now R1+X rather than just charging it up, and you can't ping pong it as easily. I was struggling to manufacture chances in the beginning (at World Class difficulty, mind), but now I'm starting to get some decent pieces of play that sets me off behind their defence.

This really is a good leap forward compared to most years... and I've only played against the CPU so far.

Yeah, I'm stopping with him now, and he'll join the first team, and I'll use the training on youngsters who need it more.

This lad's probably got 20 years of being my stopper, if his height isn't an issue.

To be fair, it's incredibly handy for fixing "mispositioned" players, like when you get a generated left back who's really fast but has no defensive abilities at all, and it's clear he should be a winger. Now you can actually boost those weak attributes.

Yeah. As you said it might be slightly overpowered but it is still a fantastic feature I think. Its is about time they put some sort of player growth feature in.

Just lost to Swansea, they had 68% possession, everytime they had the ball I found it impossible to intercept

eh? players always grow in career? (in past games)

Every game so far has been in heavy rain

Not played in rain yet but played in fog which was pretty awesome.

Has anyone on career mode found it stupid when they discuss 'breaking transfer news'? For example, Cech to Arsenal has broken in two different games and the fee has been 25 million......

Sometimes players have glitched for me. In FIFA 15 I bought Donsah and he just didn't grow at all, even though I was playing him in every game and he was performing well. This can sort that hopefully. Also sometimes regens just didn't grow which was irritating.

Taking advantage of the high player sales at the moment to do as many drafts as I can. You can basically play through a draft and then sell average players within the jumbo packs to get 15k coins at this moment. Will change soon when prices level out a bit.

Yeah, that's annoying. Commentary is pretty rubbish this year, as they've done nothing to improve it.

Seconded. Plus, how is Martial stats - wise? From what I've seen he should be 80 minimum!

To be fair, I'll probably buy it regardless, as I usually do. But I begrudge paying like £40 odd for it if it's the same as always. I've had pretty much every FIFA from this century, I think, but I'm just getting tired of how little they actually add each year. I'd rather they just updated squads tbh considering how similar each game is at this point.

They need to add some fun. Reverse the sizes of your teams smallest player and largest player, but their stats remain the same. Inject all opposition players with heroin. Start a fight. Be a fan. Be a billboard. Something that isn't, "we've slightly twigged the passing this year so that Iniesta makes a different face when he does a short pass, but not a long one".

Yeah I will buy it definitely. I didn't get the last one because my PC was to weak but I'll be getting new one in near future. I wonder if there's any difference between PC and ps4 though?

Juan Mata was just selected as goalkeeper in the team of the week!

I'm new to UT, it's quite addictive.

Is "chemistry" just a gimmick or is it actually important?

feck this years game. Just feck it.

Might have just been that keeper too, just thinking and while others have grown really well, none have had that level of boom.

I just wish they'd fix the loan market. Top of the list of my current recommendations is Leighton Baines, and David Silva.

Got some interesting loans too in January, Ibrahima Mbaye, Paddy McNair and Gianluca Gaudino.

I'm not sure if this has been posted but someone organised a Ronaldo - Mertesacker race.

I really don't like the dribbling in this game, the players seem to pause before hitting the ball

You should definitely have 100 Team chemistry, but from my experience a few players with 6 chem don't ruin your team.
If you are a new player I'd also avoid building a PL team at the start, because that league is completely overpriced.

Just had Herrera down injured. Forced to Make a sub, he then sprints off the pitch. Headline is Herrera torn calf out 3 months

I'm really confused. I logged into the Companion app today and it said that it sent a security code to my old number. Right, that's fine i thought, i'll just have to login and change my security measures. Problem. It won't let me do that without putting that security code in. Nice one.

I'm just shite on this on UT at the minute. On Fifa 15 I was in and around divisions 2 and 3 but struggling in 9 at the minute. I know it's not a true reflection of div 9 as everyone starts at 10 but just struggling with the game. Will be down to the transition and my team being average but still it's hard going for me at the minute.

I won division 1 twice and I'm losing crazy in Division 9 at the second. The game is dodgy as feck. Awful close control and passing.

Yeah it was a lot more difficult for me as well. So far I've noticed that 2 striker formations work much better than formations with wingers. It's also really important to play slower build up now, otherwise forward passes are usually intercepted. Crossing has been useless for me so far but cutting inside and then passing it into the box often resulted in a goal.
In Division 7 now.

I'm really struggling to get the ball off the other team, they just pass it around for 90 minutes, I'm playing on professional

I'm playing on World Class and although I've figured out how to win back posesssion(don't rush forward, sit back and smoother out their passing lanes) I still can't score a goal to save my life. Even when I do get a clear cut opportunity, the goalkeeper makes ridiculous saves.

It's definitely more difficult, but I don't agree with the other part.

2 striker formations are:
41212 in my experience that formation offers you a lot of options going forward but it's pretty suicidal at the back
41212(2)/4312: the diamond is very narrow. With the terrible dribbling it's very easy to close the center, I think a good 433 player will exploit your lack of width both defensively and offensively.
442s decent defensively, but very little triangles going forward
352/3412 in theory those two should be really good, you have all the offensive options of the 41212 but 3 CBs and 2 DMs for a solid defense, your success with it will probably depend on how good you are in defensive 1on1s with pacey wingers.
