Schürrle isn't bad obviously but how is that gonna change Löw's bullshit tactics. Feck me he's so lost!

So Löw brings a fast winger that won't get usable passes from our midfield? That'll solve it all, surely.

Neuer is in a long-distance relationship with his penalty area.

Yeah but a fast winger could possibly get around the back of the Algerian defensive line which at times has up to 6 players in a row.

This is where Germany miss Lahm at RB. He would have been a great attacking outlet on a wing. Low should put him there instead of Mustafi and bring on Khedira
Apparently according to didi hamman Lahm demands to be played in centre mid and if it is true i would drop him, he is just not a centre mid, he is getting caught out time and time again, imagine if it was Benzema coming at the defenders he would crucify them.

Götze was really poor, so him going off for a direct player like Schürrle is not the worst idea. It does not solve any of our glaring problems, though.

Thank God Mustafi didn't score there or we'd have seen him a lot more in this tournament still!!

Missed opportunity for Mustafi, now he never will be popular.

My wit's end
Algeria always attack with at least 4 players trying to get into the box. Reminds me of United in the 90's.

He chose money, prestige and fame over his own development.
this is actually true

what a boring move he made, to a team that will win the german league for the next 10 years because they keep on buying all the top players from their rivals.
shame on him

how did Algeria not score from that counter?
As with most non-top teams, they lack the end product unfortunately. Algeria have been much the better side and created many great chances, but Germany will probably end up being more efficient with their chances.
