In both games you were actually dominating me after you went down, especially in the first one. I couldn't get out of my half after I scored my goals :lol:

P.S the PSG striker has one hell of a finesse on him. Absolutely brilliant.
 
VIM the useless wanker has dropped out. He's only played 2 games though. On the plus hand it means there's now 10 in both leagues.

I'll have to take his results off. Sorry to the 2 who played him.

I suppose that's not a surprise. The other problem is FortBoyard. It's likely he'll drop out too unless he's able to make himself available for some games. Think he's only played me so far.
 
I won't be able to play the rest of my games until next Wed/Thurs at the earliest I'm afraid, work commitments. I trust this is ok. Should be able to finish all my games when I resume and plus I've already played a few more than some others in the group.
 
Stu I might need you to fill in actually... FortBoyard hasn't been on for ages and he's only played 1 game in 2 weeks. I'll give him 24 more hours. It's not his fault but it does hold people back.
 
If Stu does replace FB, does that mean that my first game against FB doesn't count (it's the only game he played and I've already got Stu on PSN so shouldn't be too hard to find time to play both games if needed).

You took your only decent chance, not sure why you were shooting from so far out at times in the first half
 
I was playing full manual in the first half, so felt like having some long rangers... Changed in the second half though. Was a tight game although you did only have 1 shot it was probably the best chance.
 
What's this manual/semi manual lark? What does it do and how do I sort it to comply with the league rules?

They're controller settings. Manual is basically having no assistance on passing, shooting, crossing etc. So you have to direct everything.

There's no rules for it in the tournament though. You can play default or whatever you want.

Ah right. How easy is it to adapt to manual and what's semi-auto like?

I find default passing frustrating at times.

If you find deault hard then you'll hate manual :lol:

Because there's no assistance from the CPU, naturally you have a lot more freedom with passes. You can do a lot you can't do on assisted, e.g. certain types of shots and through balls, crosses, etc. It's harder obviously, but once you play it a lot you'll get used to it.

I never really played semi so I'm not too sure. Although semi is more assisted than manual, I think it just requires you to choose the power.

If you were gonna try manual I'd advise you put lobbed balls and through balls on manual first before anything. I don't know notice any difference on lobbed balls and through balls are much better. I use them as a replacement for long ground passes as they travel much faster instead of bobbling. Unlike assisted through ball you have to power it up, but you get used to that.
 
By the way Stu, are you OK to replace Fort Boyard? He hasn't been on for ages so I think I'll replace him now.

4-0 was hugely flattering, I think i deserved the win, but for you not to score was unfair, 4-2/3 would have been more realistic

fecking lag. You took the goals well, especially seeing as I guess you were lagging too, but cmon... a rebound, a fifa goal, the most comical own goal in fifa history and a header where I was telling my keeper to rush out for 5 seconds until he actually did so...

Sorry to everyone else but I'm not playing any more games in this until my connection gets sorted, there's no point because its unplayable at present.

You definitely didn't deserve to not score at all, and a couple of my goals were definitely on the lucky side

I wish I hadn't used Belgium though. They are a very good side. My strategy as I am sure some have noticed is to save some of the better teams for the later stages, not sure how well it will work out for me

Could be dangerous if I reach the knockouts, but that's the if isn't it

Even without the lag though I'm sure you would've caned me, those lobbed through balls out to Hazard were dangerous! I was gutted when that litle skill run with Modric at the end didn't come to anything. Good game, sorry about the lag :)
