Your top transfer targets (be the Mourinho)

To add to my own thread, we've been struggling to get Perisic by all accounts and I'd like to add Draxler to my LW list. He's a top player and he'd be perfect there for us.

He signed for PSG in January.

Just offer £800k a week to Neymar and trigger the buy-out clause :drool::drool:

Ibrahimovic out / Griezmann or Morata in
Rooney out / Rodriguez in
Fellaini out / Fabinho in
Smalling out / Lindelhof in
Carrick out / Matic in
Darmian out / Rose in
Lingard out / Willian in

That is an absolutely awful list of players to bring in. Pure dreadful.

Even Moyes wouldn't be that bad.......

Surely this a troll post?

If it isn't please explain...

Striker
1) Kane 2) Aubameyang 3) Morata

Wide forward/Winger
1) Alexis Sanchez 2) Dembele (Dortmund) 3) Perisic

Midfield
DM
1) Dier 2) Fabinho
CM
1) Alli 2) Renato Sanches 3) Nainggolan 4) Barkley

With Lindelof already added, I would only sign 1 player from each list above as the squad does need some balance and some out-goings would be necessary to compensate the in-comings

Some speculative and some not so much, but we need a player in each of the above positions I feel.

CM less important, but feel we need more depth due to Ander/Pogba being well ahead of our back ups of Fellaini, Carrick, Pereira, Fosu-Mensah. Priority would be striker, DM, wide forward/winger

Lindelöf DONE
Morata NEARLY DONE
Fabinho SOUNDS PLAUSIBLE
Perisic SEEMS INEVITABLE

Sandro IF HE's ON THE MOVE WE SHOULD BE IN
Dembele/Willian WE NEED WIDTH ON THE RIGHT, NOT MANY BETTER ABOUT
Chicharito WE NEED A 4th STRIKER AND THE FANS WILL WET THEMSELVES

Neymar/Bale WE NEED A SUPERSTAR

Morata - big, strong, mobile, great finisher, good hold up play. A Jose striker.

Matic - provides the physical qualities of fellaini but is a significantly better footballer.

Douglas Costa - fantastic player, seems to be available.

Add that to Lindelof and itd be a fantastic window.

I believe in Rashford and Martial to take us forward, so the additions in their positions in attack are more squad options. King showed in the second half of the season that he can put the ball in the back of the net provided he's leading the line. He's got great pace, positioning and movement. Muriel has always shown great ability through the years but last season seemed like a real breakthrough for him, whether he can take another step is the question.

Dembele imo is a future superstar and we should do whatever is needed to sign him. Whether that means a Mkhitaryan+cash deal or whatever. perfect future no 7 especially now cause unlike Mbappe, he's yet to receive the hype. Gaitan to come in as the squad option, i genuinely don't rate Mata. Never have and never will really.

Kovacic cause I'm a huge fan of his game, Nasri cause you cant have only one player in the team that can do certain things. It leads to crisis' when injuries hit. Jali is a quality player with incredible ability on the ball, not as good as the Pog when it comes to passing and shooting, but exceptional;y comfortable on the ball plus possessing a better defensive arsenal.

M'villa would be the perfect heir to the Carrick throne, very similar in his game. Crisp short penetrative passing with great defensive positioning, with added aggression.

Van Annholt for depth, imo we should fully trust Shaw with the left back spot.

Truly terrible.

Really think now that we should go in hard for Dembele. He's going to be one of the world's top stars and if we ever want to become one of the elite again, we need to be chasing such players before they go to Madrid/Barca and we are left looking on, waiting for their career to slow down so that we can get what's left. I don't think we'd have to go over £100m and we don't NEED someone for the left as much, as we have Martial who just needs a kick up the bum really. In fact, having Dembele there might help him. It seems Matic is nailed on and Morata, barring a Real Madrid screw-over (which I'm expecting actually) should be too. So we could forget £50m for Perisic and go:

De Gea
Valencia--Bailly--Lindelof--Shaw
Matic
Herrera-----Pogba
Dembele--------------------Martial
Morata

St - 1 Kane 2 morata/ lukaku 3 belotti
Right wing- 1 dembele, 2 Douglas costa / Lucas moura / willian.
CAM - 1 James / Bernardeschi (can also play wing which bumps him in priority)
DM/CM - 1 weigl 2 Fabinho 3 ward prowse / dier / matic.

I don't think it's a easy as trying to get all number 1 targets because we do have a budget made of money we actually earned. Assuming it's 150mof those above I'd go dembele (future star) 80 and morata 70 and recoup money by selling any of smalling 20/25m, mata 10m (unfortunately) Romero 10-15m (I'd like to keep him but he has value and we ddg). Janazi 10m. I'd then use the proceeds to bring in ward prowse (cheapest midfield option).

Wild card but Ward prowse in my opinion would do very well for us in a counter attacking team that has pace. Really good vision and crossing. Given that our team has height, he'd be lethal in set piece too. he would need to adjust positionally as a deep lying playmaker but I think it could work.

I think we need two natural wingers. I've have always preferred wingers who can cut inside.

LW- Sanchez, Carrasco, Konoplyanka
RW- Douglas Costa

A DM for the big games to play a 3 man midfield

Dembelé (Spurs), Naingollan, Fabinho, Matuidi

A striker. This is tough as really who is available that would really make a difference?

Aubameyang, Lacazette

Morata, Belotti and Lukaku are just not worth their transfer value. I would rather wait until January when we can get Griezmann than waste money on those turds.

I also think we should buy Rafael back as cover for Valencia. Like Chicharito a really good player sold for peanuts.

Rooney out but not for James, better for a poacher. We have enough playmakers as it is.

By the way, nor Fellaini nor Carrick nor Lingard are going anywhere. You can keep on dreaming, of course.

You can never have enough playmakers and James would be a perfect swap for Rooney. Would add real depth to the squad. I don't understand why people are so against having two real quality starting XIs instead of a decent starting XI plus fillers or 'they can do a job'ers.

And yes, I can dream. That would be a very decent window.

Mkhitaryan, Mata and James for one position in the expected (by most) 4-3-3 would be definite overkill.

Well James is better than those two....so it would be an upgrade on what we have already. I would start him over those two every day of the week.

Somewhat embarrassing how underwhelming our window is looking.

After securing CL, I thought we would manage to bag two top draw attackers at least.

7th, 4th, 5th, 6th - our four previous league finishes.

With our attack, I'd take 4th now.

Compared to who's? Who has had a better window? Chelsea, City, Liverpool? I wouldn't really take much of what they have bought

For this window I'd just get a CM in now and try and consolidate top 4 this season, of the ones we are linked to I'd probably take the Belgian lad, then we wait and see if Shaw and Pereira can genuinely impact the team, if they do I'd look at 3 signings next summer.

WF - Dembele/Pulisic/Lemar
#10 - Dybala/Griezmann
#6 - Weigl

This post is hilarious .

Fabinho and Sanchez in and what an incredible window that would be. Both are unlikely, but not inconceivable in my eyes. Perhaps the boat has sailed on the former, with Matic and Dier being preferred targets.

de Gea
Valencia - Bailly - Lindelof - Shaw
Fabinho
Herrera - Pogba
Mkhitaryan - Lukaku - Sanchez

Subs: Romero, Smalling, Rojo; Mata, Lingard; Rashford, Martial
Joel Pereira, Tuanzebe, Mensah, Blind, Carrick, Fellaini, Young and Andreas Pereira as squad options.

A centre back probably has to make place, likely Jones. While some of the young players might leave on loan. What a formidable squad that is though.

Verratti.

Dybala.

...oh, and moving on Fellaini. Literally anywhere.
How much do you think Verratti is going to cost? And why would PSG sell him?

If Mbappe is worth 160m, then Verratti has to be worth 140m, and PSG have no need of the cash.

Dybala has got to be worth 150m+ if Mbappe with half a season is worth 160m

Only thing is they didn't finish 6th. And City have had a very good window. Anyway, we shouldn't be concerned about what other teams are doing, we should be concerned about ourselves. We needed a winger and a midfielder and it's nearly August towards the end of our preseason, and we still haven't got them in. It's disappointing to say the least as our squad hasn't improved much, if at all, since last season.

Lemar and Fabinho. £110 million for both of them.

Wingers are out there... Mahrez, Lucas Moura, lemar and all 3 would cost around the same amount that inter are asking for Perisic.

Dm: Fabinho, matic

For lb..... Anyone at this point except blind or Darmian.

PSG have no need of the cash? They sure as Hell will if they spend £200m on Neymar and his wages, plus the player wants to leave, and Raiola is probably the best agent on the planet at agitating for moves. Dybala would be expensive, but the Mbappe figure is at best a slight comparison. Dyabala, for all his potential, has bagged 20 league goals in a season just once at the age of 24, and has been only intermittently brilliant. Mbappe has devastated teams at just 18, and teams are speculating on the likelihood he will be the Ronaldo of his generation, and inflation will keep rising.

I expect, overall both players could be acquired- if they could be moved at all- for £120M each. Max. When City are blowing £50m on Kyle Walker, that is not a ridiculous outlay.

With the rest of top 6 (bar Spurs) also improving, we need to up our game.

Bring in Sanchez or Bale. With either we'll be unstoppable.

I would like a holding midfielder as well, but I don't really have any preferences. I've been impressed by Dier a lot, but he's heavily criticised in here for reasons i don't understand. Would also be happy with Matic. Have only seen Fabinho in CL a few times, but i only remember Mbappe from those games really.

Our defence is solid. I like Lindelöf, good acquisition.

Martial, Mkhi, Rashford and Lingard will chip in with a few goals. Pogba will start firing on all cylinders, and Herrera will clean up nicely.

de Gea
Valencia - Bailly - Lindelof - Shaw
Fabinho
Herrera - Pogba
Mkhitaryan - Lukaku - Sanchez

Subs: Romero, Smalling, Rojo; Mata, Lingard; Rashford, Martial

I would love to see this team. PL winning potential. Actually we should be aiming to something like this and forget anything less than this. This even wouldn't be super expensive. Expensive of course but not over budget i guess.

No Greizmann possible so either Sanchez/Bale.

Not fussed at this point over which one of Matic/Dier/Fabinho as long as we get a defensive midfielder.

Give me Seri, either Sanchez or Bale and a cheap left-back we can plug in who can attack and defend (say Jonny from Celta or Toljan looked alright at the U21). Sell Darmian, who is alright but not what we need. Keep one of Fosu-Mensah or Tuanzebe and loan out the other.

-----Lukaku----- (Rashford)
Sanchez---Mkhitaryan (Mata, Martial, Lingard)
---Pogba-Seri-- (Herrera, Pereira, Fellaini)
-----Herrera--- (Carrick, Blind)
Shaw-------Valencia (Jonny, Blind, Young, TFM/Tuanzebe)
--Lindelof-Bailly------ (Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Blind, TFM/Tuanzebe)
-----De Gea---------- (Romero)

and when we play 2 in the middle one of Seri or Herrera sits, Mkhitaryan or Mata is the 10 and Martial or Rashford starts out wide opposite Sanchez.

Then next summer, we're looking for another attacking star if one is available (Griezmann, Ousmane Dembele) a proper Carrick replacement (if it's Dendoncker, we could even buy him now and loan him back to Anderlecht for a year (6 group stage CL games, some Europa games after they get knocked out and a season on a team where they have the ball all the time and they won't bench him because he's clearly first choice is basically the best possible loan anyways) and Valencia's long-term replacement who can spend his first season competing with him.

If I'm Mourinho, I would take:

- DM: Fabinho but he won't move IMO
- LW/RW: Lucas Moura for 20 millions maximum: he can play on the left or the right. Decent player

1 central playmaker and 1 winger would be my top priorities.

You reckon PSG will sell for that cheap?

He was acquired for 40 millions.

On the left, Neymar & Draxler. On the right, the coach prefers Di Maria. Guedes is the future on the right IMO The latest games suggest Emery doesn't rely on him.

The FFP requires PSG to sell some players and make savings on salaries.

If Lucas wants to move, he won't be blocked IMO

What does @BBRBB think?
