LVG will have a tough choice when it comes to picking his striker.
Rooney's and RVP's stats are incredible.

Definitely worth a try. Still, I think the front three will occupy the same space up front, because neither of them is comfortable and effective out wide. That’s why I would go with Januzaj on the right. What dya think?
De GeaRafa and Shaw still as wing back, Blind to cover the back two and fill in a an extra centre half.
Rafa Jones Rojo Shaw
Blind
Herrera Mata Di Maria
Rooney
Falcao
Mata to play further forward in midfield three, Di Maria to drift wide and use his pace.
Unless we move to 4-2-3-1 permanently, which I doubt because of our midfielders, he doesn't fit my 4-3-3, sorry. But I guess he can be used instead of Rooney from time to time. You know, he's the captain and all.
You're probably right, however I haven't seen him live and I'm not really convinced he's better than Smalling/Evans/Jones, so I didn't include him.
Got to go with this now;
--------------De Gea--------------
Rafael--Smalling--Jones--Shaw
--------------Carrick--------------
------Herrera-------Di Maria------
--------------Rooney--------------
----------RVP-------Falcao----------
Subs: Lindegaard, Evans, Rojo, Blind, Valencia, Mata, Januzaj
No room for Blind or Mata
Mata would still play loads of games in that system though, four players for three spots is a lovely mix. One of them will sit out starting each game but there's nothing wrong with that - for example Van Persis gets rested with Rooney moving up top and Mata to #10.
The more I think about the diamond the more I'm convinced it's just perfect for us.
I don't mind a defensive set up, tbf!
But I’m not questioning buying him, only that I’m not sure if he’s better than those I mentioned so that’s why I picked them. I don’t know what are you getting at?Yeah but you arent the manager and he was convinced enough to buy him.
So do I, everything points to LVG never going with it though
Agree. If we are moving to that formation then all our signings make sense. If we're not then there are going to be too many square pegs in round holes or too many excellent players sitting on the bench.

yep, pretty much this, if everyone is fit.------ Rooney --- Falcao ------
------------ Mata ------------
- Di Maria -- Carrick -- Herrara -
-------------------------------
Shaw -- Rojo -- Jones -- Rafael
------------ DDG -------------
It simply HAS to be this, doesn't it?
I don't know on what basis do you think you know better what will be the actual formation? So you are picking your fantasy XI and not what the actual XI will be? Okay fair enough
Diamond with wingers or CM's though? I guess we could go with CM's since Di Maria's a one-of-a-king hybrid cm/winger and Herrera's not exactly a slouch & is pretty nimble.442 diamond. fits all the key players, allows di maria to excell, its the total package
4-4-2 diamond?
--------------DDG
Rafael--Jones---Rojo---Shaw
---------Blind/Carrick

------------Mata
----Rooney/RvP---Falcao
