Your managerial selections since 2013?

Mourinho when SAF left, had a bit of a meltdown when we got Moyes, then hoped Klopp would have a year off and come in during summer and right now I want Mourinho again.

It still will go down has the single most mind boggling decision in the club's history, how Moyes was allowed to get the job

I got tagged in about 5 Facebook posts, all of them asking people to check on my health as soon as the news came out. It was bad. I've done a bit of risk analysis at uni and I knew it was a disaster waiting to happen, what really boggles the mind is how professionals running the club thought it was a good idea. I genuinely feel we wouldn't be in this position had we done the right thing and hired Mourinho. Hope we do it this summer.

And we are still not done with former pro's all desperate for Ryan Giggs to get the job, what is the saying when certain people got the first decision done so badly wrong, you don't get an opinion, that is what should be the case with the next appointment with these people. Even the thought of almost the same people who appointed Moyes, are even entertaining the idea of having Ryan Giggs. We will see this summer if they go ahead with this masterplan, it says to me they would rather run the club into the ground with their fave, than appoint the right person

For all the talk about us appointing an Auditor for scouting (Whatever that means), we need to get an internal auditor for Woody. It's becoming shambolic and it would not surprise me if we make a stupid decision by appointing Giggs or even worse, continue with LvG. we'll see what happens this summer, we need Mourinho otherwise we're not going to attract good players.

One made a fantastic point, when fans try and say well VG gives youth a chance, giving youth a chance is when the likes of Andrei, sharpe are replaced by Giggs and Beckham permanently going forward and there is a plan in place for those players to take the places. Despite guys like rashford saving this arrogant self centered senile old man's bacon, what happened when rooney was fit? Rashford is benched. I wonder where we would be if Rashford was not given a run in the team, because I doubt rooney would be doing what rashford has done this season, and if rooney was not injured I doubt Rashford would even been put in the team

He HAD to play the kids, that's what people don't understand. Had we not had the amount of injuries we had, Rashford would have been playing u-21 football or on loan somewhere.

2013: Mourinho was the man for me then. Unquestionably. Horrified at Moyes' appointment but desperately hoped he'd do well.
2014: Literally anyone but Moyes. My realisation that LVG is not for us has not made me revise how utterly awful Moyes was. Joke of a manager.
2015: Thought LVG had done what was required, we were really showing good signs and won some important games. So LVG by definition really.
2016: Feeling very let down by LVG, terrible decline this season. Still like him but obviously he needs to go. Back to Mourinho.

And by then we would not even be fighting for a CL place, and I very much doubt rooney would have scored those winners against arsenal and city, when he is clearly past his best

no problem with giggs when Sir Alex retired as I think he had the dressing room. Since Jose's been available I would like him and Keane. I'd be happy with Jose though and whoever. I think we need that.

2013: Klopp/Moyes(Yes:nervous:)
2014: Klopp/ Van Gaal(Yes:nervous:)
2016: Poch

Mourinho each year although I would have been over the moon to get Klopp. Pep was always a huge pipe dream I could never see happening. I never wanted van Gaal but the joy of ridding ourselves of Moyes I welcomed him with open hands, pretty much 2 months later I wanted the fat turd flushed.

My choices were:
2013: Mourinho
2014: LVG
2016: Mourinho

IMO, Mourinho is the closest thing to SAF, in terms of winning mentality.

What I do find amazing reading this thread, is the number of people who wanted Moyes.
The guy did not have a CV which matched the club's ambitions, yet so many (including Fergie), though he'd do well.
He was basically set up to fail, as he simply did not have the qualifications necessary to perform the role.

Wanted Klopp when Fergie retired and after Moyes got sacked. Guardiola seemed most gettable back in December when LvG's time should have been up. He's not my favourite manager around, but at least he wins stuff. We'll regret not pushing for him next season when City win the league.
