I'm really excited for mine! Maybe I wouldn't be so excited if I had a Xbox One X or a gaming PC to be fair, but since I'm coming from the One S and base PS4, the load times, quick resume are great. Gears 5 and Forza Horizon 4 I haven't played much of despite playing all their prequals and being a big fan of both series. So I can't wait to play both enhanced graphics. I finished Ori 1 but not really got round to WOTW either.

Huge gamepass library for me to play with better framerates, loading times and the ability to swap between them whilst doing it.

As I said before, games consoles we treat differently to almost everything else. You buy a car to drive down the same roads, a TV to watch the same netflix series, and a new phone to take the same pictures and whatsapp the same groups. But generally you still get excited for an improved and enhanced experience. PC gamers would be excited if they bought an SSD and a new graphics card I'm sure, even though they'd likely be playing the same games.
Yeah that's fair enough and I couldn't agree more that the biggest leap for both of these consoles if the hardware jump itself. I've only got a base PS4 so christ knows I need some extra power. I wasn't meaning to deny hype or excitement btw with the Xbox, as like I said its technically great (probably even better than the 5) they just seem to have made less of a song and dance about next-gen which Sony have done quite well and have made me feel like a small child at Christmas when In reality I should be way too old to care!

That’s two games that were due out on the 10th December and have now pushed it back a month due to Cyberpunk.

I have very probably asked this before. But if I buy a game now on the Microsoft store, will that automatically become the series X version when I install it?

Yeah, that’s the smart delivery thing. Some games require a certain version to do this though, like Cold War is the cross gen version.

Cheers lads. I will make sure it is smart delivery if I do it then.

Actually might not bother - it's been a while since I have done console and I forgot how bloody expensive it is! Game pass will do fine. On that note, I know you get offered a discount on the games included so can buy them if they are leaving game pass. If you instead use a code for the game (3rd party key website) will your save still transfer over?

Similar question - if you play a game on game pass, then it leaves game pass, before you buy it a few months down the line, is your save still on your xbox - it's not removed when it leaves game pass?

That’s an excellently specific question. Intrigued to know myself

Would have been insane to release it then. Is it timed exclusive for a year or six months? Was one of the games that caught my eye during the reveal months ago.

They didn’t mention.

If you're asking will RDR2 be the One X enhanced version of the game on Series X, then yes it will. It will be 30fps, though because it had a locked framerate.

Only exception where they might not be is if you get a different version of the game.
I.e Gamepass Witcher 3 but then buy the Game of the year edition. Saves not compatible.

Gamepass is a fecking steal though even without EA coming into mix.. saves me buying Jedi fallen order.. :D

To be fair that’s the same if you buy disc version.

You are joking? 30fps? I will wait for a new edition then haha can't game at 30fps.

30fps should be obsolete next generation. I get that features like Ray Tracing will have an impact but other than that it needs to feck off. Once you experience 60 or over it's impossible to go back as you say

Ori quote

Wicked. Mates just got a new 1440p 144hz LG monitor. Looking forward to playing 4k higher HDR at 60 on my TV and then comparing lesser HDR but 120fps at his.

That and Gears 120fps I'm really interested in.

I've thought about getting a high refresh rate monitor a lot lately. I'm just concerned whether there's only a number of them because of the initial cross gen period we're in.

Whilst I know 4k120 is going to be extremely rare, do you reckon Devs will do a 1440p 120fps performance mode often? I guess it's less likely whilst the PS5 doesn't support 1440p output.

I would just wait to see what monitors competitive players use for these consoles as I know you are a competitive guy. There will be HDMI 2.1 monitors coming, but those will cost minimum £700 for 27 inch.

Haha I'd beat @Redlambs and @esmufc07 but otherwise really average

I'm sure Lambo was good 20 years or so ago

Well, there might be a next gen version that's 60 fps, but be assured Rockstar would charge for that. It won't be smart delivery.

Great deal Xbox store. Feck me is this really the state of console at the moment? Never mind the price non-reduction, £15-£20 for a lot of 360 games. Criminal!

There won’t be. Red dead is dead online, pardon the pun.

Only reason GTA getting upgrade is due to the online.

This is why I keep telling people to buy physical. You would be able to pick that up for £4 on ebay.

I'm getting the X now so will have disc, just a lot easier having it digital. And, you know, environment and all that.

Is that not a pricing error? It's gone up up in price.

Thing is, a lot of people can't be arsed waiting what will probably be minimum 3 days, if not close to a week. I'm sure there's a massive market for that, but personally, with games I get a hankering to play em and want to be able to that same day or close to.

Yeah it’s that laziness/impatient thing. I couldn’t be bothered putting the disc in to watch aliens tonight so I just rented it for £3.49 instead
