tbf Valverde should not have been sacked.
Well a Madrid supporter would say that.
tbf Valverde should not have been sacked.
He might go to Leverkusen when Alonso leaves for Liverpool. Would at least fit their style.Guess that’s his managerial career over. Can’t see him going anywhere els and don’t think many clubs would want him.
we really have no standards
Do you know that keeping him no matter what, doesn't magically improve things, though? We know that sacking the manager doesn't magically improve things.

BehaveProbably the best CM of all time but I don't see much potential in him as a manager sadly. What a fecking player though, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets as a midfield three will never be topped.
Who's better? Only Modric and Pirlo are in the conversation really, maybe Matthaus too. Scholes was incredible also but not quite as technically refined as those four.Behave
Hardly a contraversial opinion.Behave

There's tons of options for that title and Xavi is arguably in the conversation. He's not my choice but I can see the reasons why.Best midfielder of all time?
When I say central midfielders I don't include no.10s like Zidane and De Bruyne. Gullit and Rijkaard an argument can be made but not for me.Gullit, Rijkaard, Zidane, Modric, KDB etc.
Honestly, Xavi was great but of all time, not for me.

Very sad. Had it in him to be a generational no.8, but Barcelona and Spain decided to commit child employment law crimes and made him play about 75 matches at the age of 18. Looking more and more like a Verratti/Thiago scenario.Pedri always injured...

He pretty much was the system — that’s how good he was.Best to play in that Barcelona and Spain system, for sure.
Definitely wouldn't suit other play styles as much though.

What deficiencies did he have that would make him "less suited' for other play styles?
That is what Ole should have done, once you realise you are probably not good enough and it is not working
Too short, too slow, not physical. I don't think Xavi would fit in a lot of teams, those that don't prioritise ball possession. Like Mourinho teams back in the day.
He struggled initially at Barcelona, they called him the windscreen wiper due to his sideways passing. Without Rijkaard and then Pep he might have had a very different career. Imagine Mourinho went there, he'd have been benched probably.
You probably shouldn't do it at the end of January in the middle of a results crisis, though. That is what Ole should have done, once you realise you are probably not good enough and it is not working

Calm down.I love to see this arrogant prick crying. He represents everything that is wrong with football, just like his despicable club.
