Television X Factor 2010

At a guess, Matt Cardle is the daughter Dannii Minogue never had.

I'd have given him a Bono number to sing.

That was the worst thing I've ever heard. My ears are bleeding.

How do we tell PS that Wand Erection will probably be around for a bit...

The finalists are crap.

I mean, they're good enough vocally but the best 'musicians' are all about the maverick personality. At the very least, there's a little bit of character depth.

These final two just seem bland as feck.

Do they ever have personality? Apart from what Cowell & co give them.

The Matt bloke has a bit of talent, at least. I can't bring myself to quite despise him in the same way I do everything else about this show.

I hate the show but I hope Matt wins, he won respect from me when he played a few songs on his acoustic guitar.

Controversial point here:

The problem is that anyone with a semblance of maverick personality is hounded out of the show... Wagner.

 feck sake man, you can't ever say that he would be a feasible recording artist.

I do agree that there's very little talent in the show this year, but you're going a tad overboard.

He doesn't fit into the standard, dull template that the rest all follow. It's an absolutely terrible show and everything that's wrong with music nowadays.

He is good.

In fairness, I actually really like Rebecca's voice. She's really got some soul. But I'm hating her for the constant sob story that they trot out. You had kids at a relatively young age. So what? That doesn't equate to the awful life they're painting out for her!

What frustrates me is that they'll do pop music when they win - someone like Rebecca could be brilliant with the right, non-mainstream, producer. Same with Matt.

I hated Matt as soon as he started hating on Wagner. A God fearing, pot-head, karate-expert, Brazilian, from Dudley who keeps cats. I mean, what the feck is there not to like!?

When did he do that?

I'm not defending him, I just genuinely don't remember this happening.

I'm obviously being facetious to make a point. But sometimes I think that they could make an exception on the 'exceptional recording voice' criteria and place a bit more emphasis on the personality element...

As I said, to my untrained ears, both Matt and Rebecca seem like good (but not great voices) and really bland characters. They'll both do okay and then fade into obsurity - because in showbiz, you need more than just the ability to sing. People want to see genuinely engaging characters.

I couldn't tell you any of the past winners of any of these shows, except for Leona Lewis - and where the feck is she now?

He started going on hectic, on stage, about how it was a joke that genuine singers were going out whilst not so good acts were staying in.

He didn't even have the bollocks to just say who he was talking about. Probably because Wagner would have chinned him backstage.

wait, so if Matt wins, will his winners single, which is aimed to be Christmas number 1, be the Biffy Clyro one he just sang?

So they've just resorted to covering other bands songs now have they? Instead of making a song for them?

Emmm last years was a Miley Cyrus song...

I tell you what would give this show more credibility - if the artists went away and either on their own, or with the aid of lyricists and bands, made some songs of their own...

The accusation of them being talentless would be a heck of a lot harder to level at them if they were doing that sort of thing...

Matt did? Dang, never saw that, though admittedly I've seen feck all unless I know some hot singer like Rihanna or what not will be on it.

Wagner was funny to an extent I guess, but he got dull.

Yeah, it was on one of the after show shows...

Didn't watch it last year and/or pay attention/completely forgot.

I do remember when the song was original for the winner, either on this of Pop Star or whatever it was called.

Well this is a let down my sister said something about rumours of Prince being in the final then Dermot says big surprise after the break but its Take That again to sing a song they sang 3 weeks ago.

If you add up performance time, Robbie Williams has sung more on X-Factor than the blonde one out of One Direction.
