I think Matt is a bit off a one trick pony though, he can only sing in tune when he's doing songs with very high notes

Geebs, in Matt's first audition, he did Amy Winehouse's You Know That I'm No Good.
No high notes at all, and it was his best performance of the lot - imo.
So wait Matt Cardle was already in a band with their own album recorded and out there for sale? I've had a listen and it's not bad, so why then go join the circus that is the X-Factor and destroy any chance of a reputable music career.
Unless this was all a big plan to sell copies of the album and he won't accept the recording contract at the end of the show. I doubt that though....

if thats the case, i wish they'd stop pushing all those high note songs on him. Its beginning to sound very samey
Yeh they did that with Aiden too. In his first audition he sang Gold Digger and it was fecking ace. Then in the live shows Danni made him sing all of those really intense songs playing on the way her performed.
Has anyone else noticed that No Direction are practically miming every single week on their choruses.

I thought Aiden had a lot of potential, and they're slowly ruining Matt too.
And thats why the rules were changed yesterday morning as regards the judges getting to decide who goes through to the final & not the public & just the public choosing who goes through like we were told by Dermot on Saturday night.
They had Eminem booked & planed for Cher to sing with him in the final, when Mary got more votes than Cher last night in the semi, they had to change the rules as Eminem & Mary wouldn't work.
That show is a complete fecking fix & Simon is a prick. The reason he had an obvious disliking towards Mary is because she tackled him a few times when she felt she was being treated differently & Simon didn't like that, she'd be impossible for him to handle, he likes to get his own way & he knew he wouldn't get it with Mary like he does with teenage wannabe stars.
Got me thinking about the integrity of the show now.
I've not read all the views in this thread but whenever i've seen the programme rebecca really stands out for me. For a scouse bird she comes across as quite classy!

I'm still a bit annoyed about Aiden going so soon. If he'd been in Simon or Cheryl's categories, you can bet they'd have bent the rules to save him.

What's wrong with One Direction? I don't think they're too bad really. They're classic boy band.
I'm dissapointed they've not done a performance where they've been sat on stools / sat backwards on chairs doing air grabs though.
Boy bands were dated in 1997, when none of those little boys were born, probably.
They will always have an appeal. It's like an exact science. Bands like West Life are still pulling massive album sales and whatnot.
You may have grown out of them but there's always people younger that will love a good old boy band.

No "old" jokes at all MG, you're quite a bit younger than me!!! You know how it is though, you might not be into boy bands but there are millions of hormanal little girls that are.
Did you hear what happened last night involving One Direction? Approx 25 had to be medically treated. Some of the injuries were weather related but most was down to "over excitement" apparently!!
