Established stars don't do completely different styles with every new song, let them do what they do best.

To me, it doesn't matter whether Ricky would have won it or not. The fact remains, he's better than the twins (christ, anybody would be better). I understand they're the type of act people love to hate and want to see the next week just to see what they're going to do then but better singers are being put out at their expense. Who cares whether Ricky would have won, the twins are the worst in the competition. But, like Dermot said, it's a public vote (or is it?) so at the end of the day, nothing can be done if people are voting to keep them in.

Fair enough, your opinion. I just know that I (and the public obviously) would prefer to see the twins next week than Rikki, so I think it's fine.
If the twins don't go out in big band week, then god help us all. Them big band songs can be hard to sing.

I must admit, I haven't watched much of this because I work Sunday evenings and frankly have better things to be doing on a Saturday evening but from what I've seen of those twins I think they're brilliant.
They're going about their business very intelligently. Keeping their names in the press and continuously having everyone talking about them. Love 'em or hate 'em you have to admit they know what they're doing and I wouldn't bet against them going quite far in the competition. They won't win it but they won't be forgotten in a hurry that's for sure.

Are the media really going to let Cheryl Cole get away with that? Those vocals were clearly pre-recorded, her voice didn't distort whatsoever when she was doing her choreography.

She admitted before the show that she was doing it that way, so its not much of a story for the media to run. They can't really come out in shock and uproar at something which everybody knew was happening beforehand.
Poor effort though, the contestants don't get to do that so why should she.
Because the contestants are taking part in a talent show where the talent being judged is singing. Cheryl is not. I don't see the big deal tbh.

Well people are raving about her 'fantastic performance', when all she did was dance and move her lips to the words. Any half decent dancer could have done that, they could have just played the video on a big screen and it would have done the job.
Any 'star' who mimes at any kind of performance is taking the piss really, if they're worthy of people spending money on their product then they should bloody well sing it when they go on stage.

She's got a lot of eye make up on in the second and not the first, and that would make a difference. In fact, she doesn't look as though she has much make up on at all in that first pic. And anyway, everyone changes over fifteen years.
