WWC23 | England v Spain - Spain win the World Cup - and Rubiales gets sacked

Fowler's positioning is fantastic and can hit a clean volley. Surprised how isolated Kerr has been.

This game has penalties written all over it.

Famous last words, but neither team look like they could score in a month of Sundays.

Certainly nothing for England to fear. So watch us go and lose to Colombia.

But the team most enjoying this will be Spain, they'll have their feet up this weekend and planning their victory parade.

Been a game of 2 halves. France edge the first. Australia had most of the 2nd halve and should have scored a couple, they’ve had by far the easiest and best chances this game. Think Australia getting tired though will give France the victory.

Frustrating game this. A lot of talent out there but a strong sense that it'll be decided on an error.

Ella Toone back in for Lauren James, as expected. She’s got to seize this opportunity, which she probably wouldn’t have got if James hadn’t had her moment of madness.

Disappointing that Zelem isn’t back in for Walsh. I felt she was very good against China and Walsh clearly wasn’t 100% against Nigeria.

Will go to penalties. France should be disappointed if they lose on penalties. They missed few chances.

Australia are lucky with the decisions today. Could have easily been a penalty there

Always thought that France had a good squad but they have only made 1 sub in 120 minutes which seems mad

Personally, I don’t think it puts pressure on the sub keeper. The keeper is never expected to save a penalty anyway. It’d be different if you subbed on a player to *take* a penalty.
