WSL chat - but mostly United miscellaneous

I fear that I manifested this.

Kind of flies in the face of the "best in class" mantra.

I guess we will have to see what else is done to positively help the women's team and the club as a whole but this is a very strange and quite disappointing step.
Unfortunately there's been little other than the mildest of lip service on the women's team front, so far their actions have said "we'll think about this some other time."

Yeah especially when you look at who Chelsea are appointing, also fear it will show a real lack of ambition to our current players too

I just watched Barcelona-Chelsea and Ramirez outrunning newly subbed Barcelona players in minute 75 like it was a cake walk.

Has Ramirez a DNA advantage or something? She looks kind of like a man, and she runs and plays like a man!

I dont want to be disrespectful, but I think the question needs to be asked.

I literally said in the FA-cup semi-final that Ramirez looked like a women playing against girls teams in terms of physical ability!

When I see her play, I ask the question, how can you actually beat that someone thats so much stronger and faster?

How is it possible when all athletes at the top are totally fit that the difference is that huge?

 kin ell dude.

That's a hell of a leap. I think she's just a big woman who knows how to use her physical advantages. I admit I was quite pleased to see her going straight through the Barca players having done the same to ours, it made me feel better about the team.

Fortunately we had Maya (dark arts) le Tissier playing for us :D

I just think when I see the most physical stand out player I ever saw in the womens game while also looking the least female, at least to me it makes me ask questions, not whether she is a women, but if she could have something else going for her like for example Caster Semenya. I get that it can rub some feathers the wrong way and I respect that!

Yeah I have seen alot of outrage online that Maya was not booked or sent off for her "body check" on Ramirez!

I think I have to re-watch the game because my heart was racing so much I was almost dizzy :D

Is there some kind of a universal scale about who looks the most female and who the least? Every single woman looks different, doesn’t make anyone looking any less female than someone else. In my opinion.

Hello everyone, I'm a season ticket holder and going to my first away game against Leicester on Sunday. Is there a pub that United fans typically meet up at?

I imagine there is nothing typical about such things seeing as Away followings for Women's matches is a new thing

Maybe message the MUWSC, they are probably your best bet

Then what gender does Adama Traore look like?

Agreed, they've also got a linked group that organise travel to away matches and to LSV. They're the ones most likely to know.

You can find them at:

Ouch. That league table makes painful reading.

Even when we beat Liverpool and Chelsea this month we'll still be bottom.

Arsenal fans are far from happy with Miedema leaving and Eidevall staying. Then there’s stuff like this going on.

His wikipedia article is pretty funny right now:
Eidevall has been cited as the herald and cornerstone for Arsenal Ladies' downfall, pushing Super Viv and many players out of the club. Nobody likes him.

Interesting that we are in the spurs situation kind of now but I probably hate Chelsea women’s team more than city so I hope we get a result on Saturday

So I guess we're not in for her then?

Good for Chelsea I guess, they are well short of top class players right??
To be fair, Chelsea have been in "need" of a center-back since Buchanan went down with an ACL injury in November.

But yeah, the rich just keep getting richer....

Yeah, same deal as last year isn't it... Did the same thing replacing Kerr with Ramirez!

They'll sure be fun to play when their ACL brigade is back!

There is a bigger chance of INEOS dissolving the women's team than there is of them paying a million for a transfer
Ain't that the truth.

Not for nothing (and not INEOS) but we do hold the record expenditure on a goalie, and PTJ is proving worth every penny. There has been evidence of some appetite there at times over the last couple of years. This year is I feel a massive barometer though. The team ended last summer stronger than it started, and are quietly looking decent. What next is the big question.

Fortunately, we already have a damn good pair of center-backs.

So United were keen on Kerolin and it was a lock before she did her ACL. 1-2 years later Man City snaps her up on free transfer. I guess we will have to wait and see how it goes, not sure how well she has done after her return. But it does not feel great atm. And joining our biggest rivals the state funded villains of course!

So the team Chelsea that has lost 7£ million the last 2 seasons and moved their womens team solo to cheat financial play (something that is still under investigation) just goes out and splashes 1.1 $ million. You just know that the WSL needs to enforce some kind of financial fair play on their own if the league is not going to be totally ruined by Chelseas financial doping & cheating in other ways. I want to puke when I hear that Chelsea is an example that everyone needs to look to, even Zelem made a total fool of herself by saying that! Created by Abramovichs dirty free money before there was any financial fair play in place at any level in england, there could be nothing more filthy than Chelsea on the womens side!

And of course conveniently for Chelsea the best defender in the world is playing for a club with problems and thus they can force a transfer!

I guess the WSL only cares about investment going into the league and not about sporting fairness or the competition being strong!

Haha. Yes, and Chelsea fans now insist their current success and people lining up to invest in them has nothing to do with all the money Abramovich threw down into a black hole and never got back. Chelsea was a mid-tier second division team on the womens side before Roman started showering them with money.

I am actually disgusted by neutral womens fans and also fans of other teams in the WSL that treats Chelsea like darlings and say they are the best role models and example how every club should be run etc. (normal clubs dont have a Roman Abramovich sugardady)

Its sickening to hear the constant praise among womens fans who claim to be one some kind of higher moral standard than mens fans and yet they dont give a sh1t about Chelsea or Man Citys ownership etc. People hate Manchester United women more than Chelsea and City women, its absurd to the degree I question the sanity of it all! RANT OVER!

I guess I should mention I dont have a problem with Arsenal, they have built their womens team in a respectful way!

in that picture she is picking up that incredibly heavy looking chest like it was a cake walk.

has girma a dna advantage or something? she looks kind of like a man, and she lifts like a man!

i don’t want to be disrespectful, but i think the question needs to be asked.

Nah, it's just plastic... The money, the club, the fans!

You can't say things like that anymore.
