Now that felix is going to Chelsea, watch this deal to collapse too.
 
See im wondering why this has been put out today. Then I remembered Felix has gone to Chelsea and I realise this is a clever bit of spin to make everyone forget the now and focus on the summer instead.

On a serious note. I hope we get it done. I really wanted Felix too. Greedy I know but I can’t trust Martial being fit. So Felix and weghorst would have been ideal.
 
How much did Burnley spend on him? To be honest all I actually remember of him was that fecking match where Jay Rod fecking riguez scored against us. Shocking goal to concede.

We could ideally do with some cover for Bruno/Eriksen but doesn't look any evidence of that happening

I’m more worried about our striker options tbh. I know Felix isn’t a pure striker and is kind of a hybrid but I do believe ten Hag would have got a tune out of him in that role like Tadic at Ajax.

You are probably going to say no to this but would you take Depay & Weghorst as different types of forwards
 
So besiktas are now digging their heels in, of course, all clubs seem to enjoy letting it be known publicly that they will making things as awkward as possible in regards to transfer dealings with us, from dortmund, Leicester, ajax etc..

Yes I would. I would take both. Contrary to the opinion here Depay has grown into the striker role. Not elite but good enough for us for the remainder of the season. Only weghorst is not enough if martial breaks down which I think he will unfortunately.

He came off the bench Vs Argentina and gave Martinez a bit of a hard time, think he scored too. Martinez was dropped after that game. But it was very much hitting high balls into him where he excelled. Something I'm not interested in seeing us do and something that no other good team resorts to either.
 
You can do so much better than this guy. His height makes things awkward. But he isn’t very good.

He scored twice in that game and would rather hit high balls into him than Maguire

I mean he’s a better fit than Felix at Chelsea? Infact Weghorst is more what you need currently.

He’d give you more than Havertz and Aubamayang currently are.

Exactly. It’s clear that even under ETH we have needed that long ball option at times. I think this guy is a good squad option that allows us to focus on our number one striker target in the summer.
 
I'll be happy with the signing if we can get it completed.

Obviously there's far better - and far more expensive - permanent options that I'm hoping we can get one of in the summer.

But, given we're dealing in frees or loans in January, then I think this would be quite a good addition in an area that we clearly need to strengthen.

I wouldn't mind Depay as well - if, again, it was a loan untill addressing it in the summer. Although I'd be surprised if we brought in both, and, of the two, I'd prefer Weghorst as he offers us something different, whereas Depay is similar to what we already have.

Yeah we don't have a player like Weghorst so if we can only get one I would choose him,however Depay can be useful because Martial's next injury is likely to be just round the corner.
