Oh my. So many Football Manager kids in here. Just waiting for a lost game.

He didn't get the team right but fixed things and we were better team for about 60min. We lost in first 15-20 min. After that we had control over game. Not that it matters.

Got it totally wrong tonight with the line up and selection, but that does not excuse the defenders or De Gea. They had 4 chances and scored 3 times.

Shambolic defending
Shambolic defending all year. Maybe the management needs to sort it out

We’ll beat City somehow and his voodoo magic luck will continue for another 6 months or so

He won the fecking Cup Winners Cup beating Bayern and Real with a small club. He broke the Scottish monopoly of Rangers and Celtic.
What has Ole won apart from the Norwegian league? You might as well get someone who won the league in Fiji or Samoa.
The 80+ points since the restart cup
Beating PSG twice cup
The top 6 imaginary league cup
The players love him cup

Ive seen quite a few of your posts over the past few weeks and honestly, genuinely, I can’t believe you’re anything else other than an opposition fan on the wind-up. You post things which just aren’t true...

Just like the past 3 managers hay - I’m happy to give him at least another 18 months. People forget the Fergie backing all so quickly!
I get backing a manager even if there are inconsistencies if you believe they could become great if given time but Ferguson had a lot more credit in the bank, you can't commit 3 and a half years to any guy just because they're the incumbent. The line-up tonight looked bad on paper (Wan-Bissaka as a wing back and starting Matic both seemed like terrible ideas and were) and it turned out badly and for the most part our performances this season have been all over the place.

I've said before I'm not rabidly Ole out, I wouldn't have given him the job in the first place but once we did he's done a solid albeit not spectacular job, but if I woke up tomorrow and he was gone I would be grateful for the effort he's given and would always see him as a club legend but would also think it's probably for the best in the long-term.

In Ole's defence, I'm sure nowhere in his tactical plan did he have AWB giving Angelino that much space and then allowing a free cross. I stick up for AWB but he's fecked us tonight.

However, Ole is still fully responsible for us going out of the CL. The loss in Turkey because we didn't take it seriously enough. The absolute madness of not taking Fred off. And then setting up in a seemingly ill-prepared 3-5-2.

Thats 3 matches and all we needed was 1 point. Let that settle in.

To top it off the third goal we conceded tonight was another feck up that actually cost us.

All of it easily avoidable. We fecked ourselves up.

I don't want him to be sacked at the minute.

But if he is, he can't complain much.

Whilst his position has been under scrutiny, he's mishandled 3 games in group stages with poor selections and in game decisions. He hasn't earned the respect to drop the ball like that.

When we play 4 at the back and get dominated by PSG and West Ham, its the tactics.

When we play 5 at the back and concede two, its the tactics.

Just let the caf manage the club.

Thing is, it actually is. We don't mark the back post, it has been a theme for months now just that we got away with it until now.

I think it's to cover for Lindelof who's poor in the air.

Shambolic defending

That’s passing on the blame Bob, our new system was utterly exposed for the first two goals.

Blame players all you like, but it was no surprise we looked a shit load better when the pussy tactics were fecked right off.

We actually made the same mistake “that night in Paris” with a back 5 and Bailly looking like someone had given him 10 tequilas before KO.
Ole corrected it early that night, but 2 years on he thinks it’s a good idea again and waits 44 minutes with us pretty much out of the game before acting.

utter bollocks.

Still happy with OLE. Sick of constantly changing manager. People really need to calm down. The grass isn’t always greener and this is the greenest its been since we sacked Moyes, LVG and Jose.

Loser mentality, that’s what people say when they stay in a job they hate for twenty yests. The grass isn’t always greener, but that shouldn’t stop us from checking options when our own grass is indeed far from green. This is a football club, not a dull relationship between two people sharing a kid together, there is no room for sentiment in keeping the manager. And is this the greenest since Sir Alex? That’s your opinion, I don’t agree at all. The playing material is starting to look pretty decent, but we are far away from showing our best and the sum of their parts. The manager is holding us back.

We started the game with 5 defenders and 2 DMF setting us up to defend then, conceded two inside the first 15 mins :wenger:

Subbing off Telles and bringing Shaw back to LB then immediately afterward subbing Shaw for Williams :wenger:

Williams, Axel, and TFM are brought on to get us back in it........to get us a goal, he brings on three defenders :wenger:

Too reliant on individual brilliance, tactically naive, no bottle. If our leadership has any brains, we'd be in Nagelsmann's ear right now so we can get him next season. Imagine what he would do with our players, they made us look like amateurs for a good 30 mins before (understandably) dropping deep.
We scored from an incredibly soft penalty and a goal that shouldn't stand.
Keep him until the end of the season and get Nagelsmann in! Act like a proper football club for once!

The players nearly saved him again today. Had nothing to do with what Ole did, that we almost managed to create a chance for a comeback in the end.

To me, it is obvious that the manager isn’t going in the right direction, when we time and time again start of matches looking unprepared and without a plan. When we then get scored against it is up to the players to pull off a comeback.

This right here. But someone will point out that he's the one who is choosing the players, completely ignoring the fact that we set out with a game plan that totally didn't work.

I feel sick. I know in my head that he's not going to be a success in terms of getting us back where we want to be, but my heart wants him to do well because of the adoration I have for him.

Same old sh## he won't get the push untill we cannot get champions league football.
Another wasted season under a manager with no courage and a lack of tactical nouse.
Totally out of his depth when he eventually gets the push who will be the takers on Ole for his next job?
Won't be seen any where near a top ten side any where in a decent European league.
How slow is he in making in game tactical changes.
Clueless and we deserve better

Way too late to fix things, should never have waited at half time. In fact Pogba changed the game, if he was brought in earlier you just never know.

Come on don't make out like his some messiah by adding a delusional spin to things.

Not a good night for anyone, especially Ole.

I don’t think sacking him is the answer. I know many want to sack him and just take our chances but things can definitely be worse than they are. Most managers in fact will buckle and fail and I can’t see us finding one who won’t. I think things are more likely to get better more quickly if we keep on working and building on what we’ve got.

But it’s not easy being a Utd fan just now. Not as easy as it used to be anyway!

I think the best thing is taking Telles off at half-time knowing Shaw can't play full game and had to sub him off

All this while Telles is our best attacking full-back. Ole just makes it up as he goes

Always will love Ole and even now I can respect the work he has done thus as he has the right intentions.

However, we have to sack, sack and sack. No time for sentimentality or hesitation.

Anything less than the league, a solid 2nd place or all the cup competitions is a failure of lack of progress for me. All of which are highly unlikely so let's bring in Poch, wish Ole well and move the feck on.

Try’s to be funny with the football manager comment then goes on to giving the most delusional opinion of the game. Well done kid!

With everybody dropping points there’s a chance to win something this season, make the change before it’s too late.

We have no clear playing style.
We don't pass and move with meaning, we're slow and rigid.
We rely on individual brilliance and moments.
Our tactics, mentality, pressing and in game management is a mess.

It falls on the manager and unfortunately we'll never achieve consistency. The club will support him as he doesn't rock the boat and some fans because he was a club legend.

Presumably the players had nothing to do with us being 3-0 down?

You have a strange definition of “fixing things” when we lost the game and are out of the UCL. That’s not fixing things. It’s simply reversing some of the damage that should never have been inflicted on us in the first place.

We were losing already. We had to go for it and they didn't. This idea we played better is nonsense - they didn't have to go stupid attacking so just sat back and let us come at them with long distance shots

I think he got the team selection wrong but the defence has to take responsibility for themselves too.

The wing-backs have been sucked in for the first two goals and Lindelof plays an absolute hospital pass for the third. Amateurish, and these individual errors keep on happening.

In England, exactly the same as the guy the Cafe wants to replace him.
One could reasonably walk into any managerial hotseat at any club in the world. The other would not be considered at any Championship teams.
