Imagine if we could turn up for whole games.

Let’s not pretend that turning it around to come from behind against West pissing Ham vindicates him.

So risky to get all worked up half-way through a match
It isn't though.

To have a bottom level that bad is completely unacceptable with the squad at his disposal, no matter the unfolding of events in the 2nd half. Even without Bruno and Rashford, that's a good squad worth half a billion pounds.

Poorly formatted post
The real fun this evening in this thread will be seeing the OleOUT brigade write lengthy posts to justify their delusion as a form of self help therapy

Yeah, I guess I could see him playing more consistently well in a system with better players on the same wavelength. I just think he lacks consistency as an individual and his head goes down far too often.

The silly mistakes this season too come from a player who isn’t a leader and doesn’t have that winning mentality.

He is a luxury, even within a particular system and I think VdB is a better bet long term. He is far more flexible and offers reliability and consistency that Pogba never will.

Selling Pogba and using that money to bring in a proper striker or a serious right winger is a far better option for the team as a whole in my mind.

I agree mostly but not this season. He's had Covid which can ruin normal people, let alone the preparation of a top athlete.

I would also sell him and get a RW and a better CB/DM. But it comes down to our board being incompetent and having no idea how to do business in the football world.

If you don't want this manager to succeed then I feel fecking sorry for you.

This is a great comeback to be fair at a difficult ground against a gritty team.

He made the quick change as half time and didn’t mess around until late in the game.

The lads got back on top and were the better team from then on.

His coaching and his choices at times are up for debate, but am absolutely delighted with these last two comebacks in the league.

Currently 4th in the table when will people see through this fraud :wenger:
That's really positive, but that first half was completely unnaceptable, we were very, very lucky to only be 1 goal down at half time.

Jesus christ will our players stop being brilliant and bailing out Ole?

When Ole tells you to shoot, you kick it into touch for christ's sake. How else are we going to prove that he needs to be fired?

Only Martial seems to have got the message.

Out. Our squad deserves a far better manager.

It's gotten to a point also where we can't possibly rest Bruno or Rashford when he should be getting far more out of the eleven that started. Look at how top managers like Klopp and SAF get every last drop out of their squad. Ole simply isn't doing anything like that.

It is not luck. The squad has a bench worth 100's of millions of pound. This team can easily win the league this season with the quality we have with just a little bit more consistency.
They can win it but under this manager, it will be hard to fathom. We have the quality, but the way we set up and the football we play, luck and Bruno will not take us over the top. I feel like we will just bottle any chance when it comes to the important games.

He made the game changing substitutions which have now gotten us into Top 4.

I'm happy we have won, just as I always am, but I'm less than convinced looking at the bigger picture.

Relying on sporadic moments of individual brilliance may work from time to time, but we'll never amount to anything more than a top 6 side unless we find a functional working strategy, one that the opposition both recognize and come to fear. We do not have that right now as far as I can tell.

Whats our style of play? Whats it called when you get decimated for an hour and score from three moments of individual brilliance?

Delighted we managed to find a win.

Will love Ole forever.

Can’t wait until we have a new manager.

The first half showed Ole real level of managing, he isn't capable of anything unless he has much better players on the pitch than the other team.

It was bad really bad I agree, you know what though I don't know if it's just me but I'm seeing some old united magic once again, especially the comebacks.

Are we in a title race?

No one's really in a title race after 9 or 10 games is the point.

There's miles to go and a lot of ups and downs in this season.

We're in the top 4, which is good enough for now especially given how badly we started and the doom and gloom being spouted on here.

I, and others, said weeks ago it was all very premature and we should judge things after 10 games.

Just don't tell sammsky and his ilk. The point is far too nuanced for their top-red minds.

It's madness.
I'm pretty sure Ole drew up that 'cross' from Henderson to help tally up the volley by Pogba - all of that was absolutely in his plans at half time.

I'd be lying if I said these comebacks weren't immensely satisfying.

How much of this comeback would you attribute to Ole?

Iuno. How much of the calamity in the first half would you attribute to him? At any rate it goes to show that people shouldn’t shout about how we’re clearly not coached at all and the like, when we’ve often seen football be a game of two halves.

Should we be more consistently good? Yes. We seem to be grinding out better results at least. And I for one have always been of the opinion that the psychological aspect is where we’ve suffered the most. It’s heavy to be a club that’s supposed to be as dominant as we were under Fergie, and we still face media scrutiny that is usually reserved for the elite teams.

Second half really saved us today but it would be nice to see more consistency off the bat, for more than just 3 games.

Anyway look at the positives, we are still with the title pack which is pretty nuts.
