He turned it down because he was under contract at Dortmund. Man is on record saying he will NEVER break a contract.
Anyway, you’re utterly off your tits if you don’t think Klopp would be doing a miles better job than Ole, with less money spent.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I don’t think Ole is anywhere near Klopp’s level. He absolutely is not. I just don’t think Klopp would take us to the title. In fact I’m 100% convinced he would not. Too much shit surrounds this club in all facets.

I don’t care about Ole or my opinion being “right”, feck that noise. It’s just the best entertainment I can get out of this club. Watching this moronic fanbase dribble over whatever flavour of the month manager there is, and then watching them fail horribly. Oh my gosh it doesn’t get any better does it. AAA+ entertainment in a can right there.

Ridiculous post. I'm lost for words.

And some here were blaming others for wanting United to lose for the manager to leave. Here's someone hoping that the next manager will fail and a "spectacular failure" just to prove his opinion right.

One of the strangest posts I've read on here and it turns into even more of a car crash as it goes on.

it’s gonna be hilarious to watch the Caf meltdown when their next chosen one is a failure. Frankly it’s the best part of following this club, I loved it when Jose flopped and can’t wait for the next disaster.

I don’t think Ole is the best, I don’t even particular rate him much. We sacked Moyes because the next manager will be the one, we sacked LVG because the next manager will be the one, we sacked Mourinho because the next manager will be the one. But this time, the next manager will definitely be the one. Definitely.

Are you looking for a step dad or someone to manage your football club? Honest question?

If for 2 years you’ve honestly thought that Ole is performing worse than Moyes, then yes, my apologies, it’s not emotions. Your problems run way deeper than that.
Both Ole and Moyes are just as useless, if not worse than equally as bad, doesn't make much difference though,

Well he did it for Liverpool after nearly 3 decades on less money so...

Regardless, he’d be an improvement. Only sacking managers because the next guy is “the one” is some dumb shit.

Looking at the way Southampton have improved and how rapidly they've done it... just shows why it might be a bit more intelligent to hire managers who actually have a philosophy and know how to implement it.

Don't use such harsh words. There will be dozens coming for your head if we miraculously turn around the 0-2 deficit in the second half.

Exactly this... why does anyone genuinely think it will get any better. It’s utter dross and then rinse and repeat it will be a genuine miracle to make the top 6. Spurs / Chelsea / City / Pool / Leicester are miles ahead of this dross.
! just sack him asap ! so bored on this failed experiment over and over again.
It’s delusional to think anything will suddenly change !!

What’s “an improvement” though? The only acceptable improvement is winning the league. Jose finishing second was considered a big failure. Is there a manager that could come in to this club and turn us in to champions? In my opinion, no. Not even Klopp.

There’s a reason why these people don’t go into detail with their criticism.
Yeah, Greenwood missing those two chances are the reason we've lost 4 games in 9 and looked shite against pretty much all of our opposition this season in the league.

I love Ole, always will and don't think we should be sacking yet.

But what was the case when he arrived, and is still the case now... if you asked each EPL club if they would sway their manager for Ole, how many would say yes? That's the mark of a manager, he's probably bottom 5 or around there.

We miss chances when we play well and create. Our defense is mostly mess, our playing well is not something consistent to be expected but random. I know not everything is on Ole but there are aspects of game which should have been better by now but haven't.

Not sure how you can manager so well you make Marcus Rashford not shoot there. Or Cavani to hit the net.

Well fortunately this thread is full of football management experts that will meticulously explain why every minute action of every player on the pitch is Ole’s fault.

Not sure about the thread being full of experts but you certainly don't count in that total, that's for sure.

Ole should take out an insurance on Bruno because that's basically like getting unemployment insurance at this point.

Stop crying about the past, there’s a game going on right now.

Don’t know if you noticed but the poster I posed those rather simple questions to threw his dummy out about the points total being poor instead of substantiating the nonsense spouted.

The same comments are made; “he’s improved the squad”, and I’d agree the squad is better but they only want to praise him for getting things right; ask why we’re still without an established RW & it’s suddenly the board/Woodward that get held responsible.

Same again when you ask what would count as improvement; they’re happy to succumb 3rd place because Chelsea spent big [ignoring the fact we spent more last Summer] so you ask will they judge improvement in the points total &. . . crickets.

There’s a number of United fans that have obviously had a nerve struck being called glory hunters for years & want to show how ‘non-plastic’ they are by using this period as a badge of honour.

Whether you want OgS to stay or go is irrelevant; we’re p*ssing in the wind arguing about it on a forum; I’d just interested in moving the discussion along and into reality.

So I’ll ask for us both. Can someone actually clarify our ‘Sustained improvement and progress’. . .
That's the thing. If I state something, I try to back it up with evidence when possible. The most frustrating part for me, is when posters say certain things, then refuse to offer any evidence to support them. How can that further any discussion?

I get the exact same impression. To some people, the football has become secondary now. All that matters is showing how much of a bigger fan they are.

Have we had any answers to this question yet?

Good job I’m not claiming to be anything then isn’t it.

Imagine seeing a first half where we miss two barn door chances that go in 99 out of a 100 times and manage to blame the manager for " a piss poor performance". Ok Brother.

We'll not talk about the performance then just so you can feel better.

We are very well coached in the counter attack. If Southampton continue to dictate play they will lose. I just don't get it why Ole doesn't have a plan B or even tries one.

Calling people moron, nice touch there.

yes what he has done with Soton is impressive but I do not think he is still a top class coach and neither is Ole. If a good coach is given a good squad he is going to do better of course. Give the Soton coach the united squad and he is going to do much better obviously. But we as United should not be looking to Soton as our competition. We should be competing with City, Liverpool, Chelsea. The fact that we are having doubts about beating Soton shows how low we have fallen.
I really do not understand why people think we should not get a better coach than Ole? It is obvious that unless we implode he is going to be here until the end of the season. Would they still want to keep him if we fail to qualify for the CL? Or if we still don't win any trophies would they still want to keep him still?
Yeah I'm not saying he's the best coach in the world, but he's one of the best in the league for sure. Much better than Ole. The way his Southampton team are organised, we should be expecting that about us. You're right it does show how low we've fallen. How can Southampton have one of the best managers in the league, but we haven't? It beggars belief doesn't it?

You must be incredibly simple to get entertainment from that

Right now there is a real lack of world class coaches in my opinion. Barcelona, Juventus, Chelsea, United, Arsenal look at the people these clubs have managing them it really tells you a lot.

At the moment I dont see us winning anything major for the foreseeable future and if we can't get a Klopp or Guardiola I'd much rather us get one of these exciting coaches like Hasenhüttl, Marco Rose, Nagelsman then keep Ole who shows zero tactical nous or hire a past his prime like Van Gaal/Mourinho.
Yeah take your pick. I would add Poch to it too. I would be happy with any from that list.

We’ve pretty much stuck it to Southampton away all game, and yet the crybabies have sat in here whining the usual incoherent bitching about tactics and formations. Embarrassingly shit fans.

We're seeing what's really frustrating about this team. This is by far and away the best starting 11 and the best squad we've had since SAF left AND the league is wide open.

We should AT LEAST be spoken in the same sentence as Chelsea and Spurs when it comes to the league. We have a great mix of young and experienced players, despite some glaring weaknesses. But we're here struggling against Soton.

And what do you expect us to do, you paragon of top reddendom? To go to Soton and lose badly? fecking pathetic.

Imaging bitching incoherently about people bitching incoherently

**** Caf.

Apply nuance to the complaining. And that goes for everyone, myself included.

This post is spot on, to be honest. No excuses to be this far down the table, especially considering we haven’t even played any big teams away from home yet. We have a good squad and should be embarrassed by our Premier League season thus far.

Well, I literally predicted 2-2 for this game because I expected something similar to what we've seen.

I am just getting proper pissed off by all the blind following for this guy. There's just no admitting he's the equivalent to a coaching dead end. We clearly have the players to do so much better and I expect us to miss on top 4 if we don't sack him by Xmas.
