A proper beatdown had been coming from a long way but some of you man were too busy celebrating 99 minute penalties to care.

You reap what you sow .

Will give him 7-8 games. This excuse of not getting backed is not going to hold.

Do you know what? I have that little faith in the higher ups that I'm sure we would mess up replacing Ole, if we were to sack him. We'd end up bringing in Mark Hughes or Giggs, or Scholes. This is exactly what would happen.

People are saying lack of match fitness, but look at our games we'll before that, because we can't press we make every team look good. We allow teams to pass and have the ball, our midfield is non existent.

You have to earn the right to play football, home or away. So I ask the question does the manager not see what we all see?

He's gotta go

Mostly oppo fans taking the piss. All my friends who are oppo fans want OGS to manage us forever. I mean which Pool or City supporter wouldn't want that?

A large percentage is our fans changing their votes after Bruno and getting 3rd last season.

I love Ole. Wouldn't want to see him sacked. But I'm not averse to him resigning :( I don't know if the players just don't listen, or if Ole doesn't hammer it into them - but even the basics seem to have been forgotten, like not playing the ball across your own goal, not covering the posts on corners - and I'm sick of bloody back-passing. Constant schoolboy errors. And team choices and substitutions that often make no sense.
Scary you said that, I was watching this just before the game :nervous: I really hope it isn't the case otherwise there is no hope.

Feel sorry for him in a way as it's not his fault the job has come his way too early.

If he'd had taken a more natural progression he might have come to us as a decent manager. Right now he's not a good fit.

It’s all set in place now.
Just as it was for Mourinho when Spurs came and won 3-0 at Old Trafford a few years back.

He’s a dead man walking. Said it after last season that he, McKenna and Carrick need to massively improve on tactics/game management etc.
Three games into this season and it’s been a complete and utter joke.
Can’t even motivate the players anymore, the one thing they had managed well last season.

The same stupid midfield trio that causes unbalance, gaps and holes. The same bad/late/non existent subs. No structure to the set up, don’t understand who’s playing where. Matic as a roaming playmaker, keeping on Pogba when you’re down to ten.
I genuinely do not have a clue what matches these guys watch.

There’s not going to be a turn around, it’s a case of just sinking and sinking as it did under Mourinho before the trigger gets pulled.

I’m not proud of the timing but I’m changing my vote to “sack”.

I don’t agree that he’s not an able coach or tactician. I also think he understands the club (or what it used to be) and has the right idea about how to manage.

But, I just don’t think he’s got what it takes to translate his positive qualities into results, by which I mean winning games but also affecting lasting positive change on the squad and on the club. He lacks the outward charisma to get his ideas across and to bring everyone with him and that includes managing upwards. It kills me to say it but I think it’s all slipping away from him. I wonder who will want this shitty job next.

I know this fecking hurts, but sacking him right now would be the very definition of knee jerk.

I would wait until November-December and see where we are then. If this horror show continues, then get a new manager before the January window.

I dont know what the feck happened today, but it was a disgrace from everyone involved. Just pathetic
Did you watch the game against Brighton a week ago?

For all the praise his signings get, they've all regressed under his stewardship.

Tbf, just about every player we've signed for years, even in Fergie's time, has regressed. I think there's a curse on OT!

How Jose in shorter time and with less money transformed Spurs in good side? We have better 11 and expensive 11 (on paper) than them. But still, they have good style of play and we don't. How long we must suffer with this long long term project?

Can optimistic people, if there's any, tell us just if we manage to come back from this, we'll come back to do what exactly ? What's the best we'll achieve under current manager and current board ? Finishing 4th and getting a domestic cup ? Are these enough for Manchester United season after season now ?

We definitely need to sort out the hierarchy, too, but there's no point continuing with Ole when it's clear he's not good enough. We might as well hire a better coach now because we could be stuck with those above for a very long time.
We tried with better coaches but both admitted they couldn't work over here. Imo solksjaer considering everything is not doing that bad.
Top coaches like Bielsa for example would not last one week at us. We re run like a business not like a football club.
We re probably the only club in.the world who sends someone who is clueless about football to negotiate with players.

In Spain there would be a “comunicado oficial” relieving him of his duties the very same evening
Yup. Say what you will about the Spanish clubs - they don't waste time when things aren't working out.

We don't give them enough drugs like Pool though. They know how to dope their player and break the laws and get away with it.

We could've and should've got smashed by 6 against Palace and Brighton. This thrashing was a long time coming.

Can anyone watching the game tell me if Ole has said anything about the sending off?

If he's not spitting furious to the point of fines and suspensions by the FA then I'd sack him now.

That red card changed the game completely and to be frank he needs to be Ferguson esque about it. That's two absolute bullshit decisions at Old Trafford now.

Don't get me wrong I'm pretty Ole out nowadays and we need to get Poch in while we still can but he needs to address the elephant in the room - we've kind of been fecked here.

Moyes, LVG and Mourinho in their worst days never lost 6-1 here. Worst was 4-1 or 3-0.

This is a new low. A very low that there's no coming back from.

We'll come back from this to do what ? Finish 4th at best ?
Did we not get tonked 6-1 by city not so long ago?

Another 3 years and 500m. Oh and Woodward needs to go first, and a DoF needs to be appointed. Only then can we judge Ole fairly.

Has Smalling gone?

I want a manager who will play him due to his defensive ability.

I can't stand managers like southgate & Ole who uses ball playing CB'S to show a tactical ability whilst everywhere else shows no tactical nouse.

It's just a plaster, a stop gap and an act.

The old boys like Nev, Rio, Evra, Keane and co won't turn on Ole so it's difficult for him to go. You can tell they would say if this was anyone else they'd rip into the manager but they can't cos he's a mate

Top 4 is the best we will ever do under this regime. That pull all the backing once we achieve it so it's a glass ceiling.

This is exactly why there is no point replacing the manager. As they will only invest an amount to get too 4 whoever the manager is.

Bring in a top manager like Poch, maybe he gets top 4 but then will have a shoestring to spend next summer. The cycle repeats itself.

They are trying to fob us off with Cavani, a big name at the last moment to help the sell shirts and quieten the fanbase, it won't work this time. They are in trouble.

Club better set up maybe.

When Jose needs a player he speaks to Levy who besides being a businessman also knows a bit about football.
When he was at United he spoke to Woodward who in turn needed to consult some scout and of course to one of the Glazers who would need to consult the board.
We re set up to be a profitable organisation...football comes second

Maguire is not ball playing CB.

Do dome people seriously think that we look better than under Jose and LVG? That there is a progress here?
Board just must sack him today and save this season while there is time. It is not ruined yet. -6 points is no big deal. Minus 3 behind CL spot is nothing. We are in CL and cups. This can be good season. Just we must sack him on time.

if only the energy and commitment from all the gloaters in this thread, went towards getting Woodward sacked, or even the Glazer's out, our club would benefit a great deal more. Ole is not the biggest problem at this club. Not even the 2nd or third.

But we have a good team. Lets stop with excuses. This team plays badly. And half of it are Ole's players. Plus pretty good players which he inherited.

Here's some optimism. Wanted someone new in the summer but I'm now relieved Maguire doesn't get to turn back into a pumpkin under their watch. Would have been getting blamed for it

Neville just said, in the most diplomatic way possible, that he thinks Ole has taken the club as far as he can.

Bad defensive coaching. Poor subs. Crap off the ball. Then again, Basics and common sense from players please. Dont raise your hands when VAR watches everything. Dont head the ball into your own danger area 14 times in a match. Dont play out from the back if the high press means you’ve got no pass on, smack it.

No pressure on places anywhere on the pitch other than in goal. Pogba and Fernandes dont work together against good teams. Matic doesn't have the legs to play his role.

Fat cat board just took dividends and now dont want to spend any money. Need about 7 players regardless of manager.

How quickly post lockdown positivity has turned into a new low. So many issues in so many places

Neville just said, in the most diplomatic way possible, that he thinks Ole has taken the club as far as he can.

But said he needed backing from the club and blamed them ultimately. So if Ole gets sacked, it's the boards fault

He looks finished. He's not even speaking coherently in this interview.
