I will still sack him. His basics are not right. Even against Colchester our basics were wrong. Some other OP mentioned in another thread about the positional play of Messi, Henry and Eto.
The same positional play is the way they play through the whole team.
People may wonder why other teams cut through our midfield so easily? It's not because Fred or Scott are bad players but the way we play. We surrender the centre too easily. It's not only the midfield who has to keep their position but it's the space occupied by a member of the team. It could be anyone. The right space at the right time.
When Fred and Scott get dragged out, no one step down into that position. Normally it's the attacking midfield player who has to do it. If he can't then the CF has to do it.
When we have the ball it's the same and normally one of the CB should step up into that position.

People may wonder how you come to the conclusion that teams cut through our midfield so easily ?

Hope Watford will defence deep today. I really want to see if we found answer to play against those team with Pogba as no. 10. (Hope he starts)

If we can unlock team with some creativity from no 10. then Ole deserve more time to bring in more creative players to continue the major rebuild.

We can't just be one dimensional and only good at counter attacking football. In EPL, we usually face team that sit deep.

Honestly I find this thread really pointless. Maybe back in the summer when Ole can't get us to top 4 or the EL though. For the now it's just a waste of time.

I think that the plan isn't counter attacking football, it's attacking football. Now, against sides that hold possession high up the pitch, the attacking pass is a direct ball to the channels, and we've seen that works. Against low block teams, it's supposed to be wave after wave of attack, changing the angles and trying to pull the oppo out of position and then that final killer ball.

However with Pogba out for so long, Pereira making the wrong decisions and Mata on the decline and getting caught too far forward, that killer pass isn't coming. One player could easily change our results against low block teams, we just need to get them on the pitch.

While Ole is still manager we're going to continue looking totally impotent against all the worst sides in the league.

Where's this "plan" and "clear progression" I keep hearing about from the Ole in crowd?

If you're still behind Ole being manager then you can't complain when we get to May and have succeeded in being played off the park by every single fecking team in the league from 8th downwards.

Sign Haaland. Sack Ole.

Sack, and take Carrick with you. Fecking all sitting there with their fingers up their asses. Shambles if a club and a team

Watch the flip flops on this poll. The Spurs and City results just masked all the problems of the way United are set up. They have been absolutely abysmal.

Lingard miss, De Gea mistake, AWB tackle. Three key decisions that have nothing to do with Ole.

I question the intensity and desire mainly, but I bet Ole is tearing his hair out about it too. Mourinho couldn’t get a tune out of them either. And he fell out with the squad and lost his job because of it.

To the Ole out crowd - I’m sorry to disappoint you, but NOTHING will change with another manager. I’m so sorry.

25 points after 17 games soon to be 18. When Mourinho was sacked he had 26 after 17 and we are supposed to be better than last season.

No way in hell. Maybe if we’d have lost to City and Spurs.

Isn't this even worse? Losing convincingly to worst team in the league? I mean if we lose, I wouldn't be surprised if we suddenly wake up now and score several goals, usual bollocks.

Today is exactly why I’ve kept it at Sack since September. I can’t believe it’s shifted 6% in his favour because we beat City and Spurs, as if by some miracle we had suddenly turned a corner and were now better than mid table.

The same thing will keep happening. The odd win to convince the Ole In crowd, and the board, that he’s doing a good job. But we will keep losing games we should easily be winning and end up in the abyss of mid table mediocrity.

And the poll here will keep shifting with every win and every loss‍, because people can’t see past their noses and are completely short sighted.

OLE WILL NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH. END OF.

Nothing is Ole's fault. He is a top coach of that there is no question.

How do you watch the same shite for four consecutive managers yet still think it’s the coaches fault? The definition of insanity..

Lingard selects himself, all season.

Theres actually people that dont want him sacked?

Litrally the worst manager in the league.

And Mourinho had also given up and was practically trying to get sacked at that point. But somehow Ole is "doing just fine" according to some.

Same points as Newcastle and one ahead of Burnley after 17 games. Behind Sheffield United.

But don’t worry we see the plan.

Exactly. The manager fields the team of his choice.

Also, Jesse is struggling with personal problems at home due to his mother’s ill health. He isn’t playing as well as a result. He’s only human after all. People need to lay off him on here.

However, why is Ole starting Jesse when he is clearly suffering on and off the pitch?! Why would you start someone who is clearly having problems which are affecting his performances?? Give him rests, if you don’t think he’s capable at the moment then don’t play him. It’s not fair on Jesse to keep playing him if it’s obvious he can’t play properly. Bad, bad management from Ole, as per usual.

You honestly believe that this guy is qualified to be our manager. That is insanity.

Not really, no. I just don’t think it’ll change if we sack him.

a top quality manager will make a difference but not as much as we want to. He'll probably get us between 3rd to 6th place.

I said after the city game that unless things go disastrous we should ride the season out with him. 2-0 down to these lot is actually the definition of disastrous. I'm just loss for words, I've had sack since the Newcastle game I think but this is even worse.

The more time that passes on I think my opinion he's by far the wrong man for us is looking more and more true. Massive yikes, not a single result is a shock under him anymore. Mourinho was sacked for less yet Ole keeps getting time because of his history. I'd get rid right now and take Poch in. This is simply not good enough.

Are you talking long term or short term? Doesn't actually matter because in both cases you're wrong and deluded if that's really what you think.

Three key mistakes lead to us being 2-0 down against the worst side in the league. Why? Because Ole is too fecking incompetent and inept at this aspect of management. Individual mistakes shouldn't matter because we should be blowing Watford away like the cobwebs they are. Instead they're the ones who have dominated the game.

He has to go at the end of the season unless there's a dramatic improvement in our league form like winning 90% of our remaining games. No point sacking him now.

Ofcourse there is, there is a competent manager who can actually coach our players available. Why should we keep up with mediocre.

No, he's just shit and keeps getting selected even after his 1/10 performances. He compromises our attack every game and we have Greenwood on the bench, who at 18 is twice the player. There's no excuses to insist with a nothing player with no future here.

Why isn’t there a point?

What if City and Madrid are searching for new managers at the end of the season? The target they’d go for is someone we should be going for in Potch.

There is a big point to sack him now unless we want to finish in the bottom half.
