Dembele himself is a sick note, and feck knows about Olmo, let alone entertain the suggestion that he'd transform our fortunes alone. Eriksen didn't even want to join in the summer, why would he suddenly switch now? And Bale is someone we made clear that we didn't want.

As I already suggested, if there's any player worth his salt, chances are he only leaves in Jan if he's becoming a problem for his club (ie like Aubameyang and VVD).

I don’t know what you’re watching. But there’s a lot of work and clearly a lot of work needed.

I don’t think we have the players to win things immediately.

At this point in time, we need patience. Changing managers around isn’t going to do that. A lot of work needs to done. I would prefer we patiently built towards something with a mixture of the youth we have and the a few signings on top.

Allegri (or none of these managers can guarantee anything these days).

Plus, with a manager like Allegri, there will come an element of expectation that I think causes this need to rush things.

He’s not going to come and suddenly blow Pep and Klopp.

Thank to Ole, the bar is set pretty low for whoever the next manager is. The next managers expectations will be not to win trophies immediately, but to try to win atleast against the likes of Newcastle and Rochdale. They don't have to Outwit Pep/Klopp, just outplan Bruce and hodgson.

Changing managers is the only way to achieve success. the buck stops with the manager and that was the reason, our previous three got sacked and I dont see why it should be any different for Ole.

This is it, isn't it. This is why it's ridiculous that our standards have been so effortlessly lowered that Ole isn't even expected to earn his salary when pitted against the worst managers in the Premier League.

If Allegri is meant to be a defensive manager, what is Ole?

Are we going to go from not being able to score more than one goal under Ole to not being able to score more than zero under Allegri?
 
Why would we hire a knock-off Conte? If we wanted Conte, we should have hired him, but it's a HORRIBLE fit for EPL, let alone United. Nothing to see here, move on.
 
No thanks. Juve fans called him a coward, and it showed when he dominated us and then sat back and let Mourinho beat him in his own backyard.
 
Not that we're in a position to be picky, but Simeone, Allegri and probably even Conte are not managers I want at United, mainly due to the type of football they play.

Either way none of them would have made a difference against Watford, we had the chances we failed to take them and neither of them would have made sure DDG saved that shit goal he conceded.
 
Enough with the quick fixes.

Take a loong hard look, identify the manager, the style of play, the man management, the staff he brings to the table and make the move.

If that's Allegro, fine. Although i think its wrong.

If we wanna stick with Ole, also fine. Although, also - wrong.

Marco Rose, Julian Nagelsmann or Erik ten Hag would be my choice. And fix the problems above the manager aswell, if not, shit will continue..

As much as I think Ole is out of his depth and we're going to have to off him sooner rather than later.

However, we have the bones of a identity and a way of playing and Allegri is totally the opposite to what our current vision is.

We need to look for a manager *cough* Poch *cough* who can go out there and carry on the job Ole has started but do it better.
 
I would not hire Allegri right now simply because he would not be interim manager. I don’t want him long term as I don’t like tumescent, defensive football. Which in my opinion is what he would do with this team from a pragmatic POV.
 
Allegri would be a horrible choice because I read that he prefers older, experienced players. It would require another squad overhaul. That's why I think Pochettino is the best option because of his excellent record with young players.
 
He is waiting for the United's job I'm sure of it. We would be fools not to take him into serious consideration. He is a winner and this club has become accustomed to losing, this must change immediately. I hope that he will be our coach from 2020

Pochettino is available. He would love players like Rashford, James, Pogba and McTominay.

then someone with a tactical plan to play broadly attacking football

Wouldn't go near Allegri and rather wait for a better fit/appoint Pochettino at the end of the season.

Bielsa would crash with us after a season or two. I don't think he's ever created a sustained winning side over 3-4 seasons has he?
 
Priorities for new manager:
  1. Having the gravitas and tact to be able to manage Ed Woodward.
  2. Coaching the players so that are aware of what they should be doing in all games, not just the ones where the opposition gives them space.
  3. Playing pretty football.
There’s no way I could see any manager other than Allegri being capable of 1. Poch certainly couldn’t, though I’d be confident he could manage 2 and, to a lesser extent, 3. Maybe the hipster Germans could do ok if the right DoF was brought in to look after 1, but I can’t see that happening. The structure won’t change until there’s a manager in place who’s able and willing to get the changes set in motion. That will only happen once they’ve persuaded Ed that it needs doing.

Moyes was appointed in May 2013 though and yes Van Gaal's contract was running out too.

I don't see the problem in hiring managers whose contracts are about to end.
 
Why do I have this feeling that a year from now all of the "Poch out" people will be clamoring for "Rodgers in"? In two years it will be "Pep in" In three years it will be "Favre in "..... All the while, Eddie will be "close to announcing a DOF" and "did we mention the latest sponsorship, Hot Pockets"? The Glazers will continue with their daily money fights, as if nothing else was going on with the family business and we muppets will continue arguing as if any of us have a clue about how to get us back on course...
