World Snooker Championship 2010

Steve fecking Davis. I used to hate him as a kid. He was so boring and just won everything. Then Steven Henry took over that mantle. Now Steve Davis is Mr Nice guy, the whole nation will be willing him on. He's probably got to play that Gould guy (who's been brilliant btw, some of his potting has been sensational, trick shot like) so he's got a chance of reaching the semi's you would say.

Just watched the final frame in the Higgins v Davis match, what a game! Fantastic stuff. Robertson has been playing some excellent stuff himself so I think we've got a cracking quarter final tie now.

I'd love to see Davis win it, just for sentimental reasons. I'm glad John Higgins got knocked out early. I could never take to him.

Anybody watching O'Sullivan v Williams? 5-7 at the moment, Williams potted a brilliant red in the 10th frame, though Sullivan is making some basic errors.

Either him or Stephen Hendry (childhood favourite) would be great.

Watching the O'Sullivan match and agreed, he isn't looking up to scratch tonight but I still think that he'll pull it back.

6-7 now, that brown ball was tense! Surprised Williams went back to the table when the pink and black ball remained.

O Sullivan just took a gamble and it didn't pay off, Williams on the table now.

Gutted about that, Mark's safety let him down a little bit at the end but he's played a fantastic match.

O'sullivan playing like that will beat anyone though, think he'll have selby in the next round which could be a cracker. Really enjoyable tournament so far.

Ding's out, things are opening up big time.

I would say Murphy is now the big favourite fromthe top half of the draw to reach the final. From the bottom I wouldn't look further than either Ronnie or Selby. I'd put a few bob on Selby to win this year.

I don;t know, I'm tipping Allen from the top half

12-4 now, great session of snooker that. If Davis wins the first few frames tomorrow Robertson will start to feel the pressure. Long shot I know but I hope he does it.

Well, there is no pressure whatsoever on Davis and for every frame he wins, the pressure will increase on Robertson. He made some silly errors towards the end of that session. Davis was also desperately unlucky at times aswell, can't see that bad fortune carrying on tomorrow.

As I said, I know it's a long shot but I reckon he has a chance.

(Expect Robertson to win the first frame now)

There's always a chance for sure, but don't underestimate the strain of such a number of hours at the table, they were out for 6 hours yesterday weren't they? Davis hasn't had a run in a tournament for a while and he'll be feeling his years a bit I suspect.

Still, I certainly hope he can pull it out of the bag!

I don't know how the feck Ronnie got out at 4-4 today. He was absolutely appalling, and he only got through by (somehow) scoring heavily on a few occasions. The problem Selby has is he's unlikely to play that badly again. His body language hasn't been very good this tournament. Or his interviews. for that matter. He'll either come out and blitz Selby tomorrow or just fall apart and lose the session by five or six.

He's a nutcase, but he makes for pretty compelling viewing.

Did you see his interview after he'd beaten Williams? Such a character, I think he's brilliant.

Only saw the highlights of the last 2 frames with O' Sullivan. As you say, it's unlikely he'll play that poorly again so Selby has a lot of work to do.

You never know with Ronnie though, such a Jekyll and Hyde player.

If Ronnie had any sort of stable level head he would have broken all the snooker records by now. He's ability and talent is unquestionable. His head is a mess.

Was surprised Robertson missed that red with the rest. Nice and composed from Davis though.

Fecking client just kept me on the phone for ages, I flick my browser tab back to the BBC stream and Davis has lost

Disappointed to see Mark Allen defeated, was a cracking match between him and Dott.

I love Ronnie but would like to see Selby advance. 9-6 behind at the mo. Another cracking match

And Selby has done it. Missed the last session because I was at football but sounds like it was good.

Hope Selby goes on to win it now.
