World Cup Betting Thread

I should have bet on Belgium after seeing Casemiro was banned for this game.

I'm such a shitty better. Partly because I don't follow through on my plans. Was gonna watch the first 10 minutes before betting on over 2.5. Did that, saw the odds hadn't moved since the start of the game (@1.80), so I didn't follow through because I wanted slightly better odds

I put a medium size bet on Belgium over 2.5 goals @1.83 instead

Meunier out of France match....perhaps.

Why do they announce yellow cards over the PA btw?

Oh, feck you, Hazard, couldn't you let that ball go for goal kick?!

Damn it.

Just bloody rude.

Feck. Brazil's goalkeeper was out but Courtois and the other waffle cnuts weren't willing to score.

Making money is easy: bet on the opposite of what I do. I've lost on 5 match days in a row now. I'm below what I had before the WC.

I made a bet of 100 for Belgium, France, England and Croatia to go through. I can cash out now at 300 or hold out for tomorrow’s results, which will give me 800 a bit in total.

What should I do?

Hold imo. 300 sounds like poor value. But don't listen to me, I suck at this stuff.

Edit: I believe the question to be asked in any cash-out dilemma is this:
Would you wager x in order to win y? Would you bet 300 to win 800 if England and Croatia go through?

Cash out. One of them is bound to go wrong.

Take the 200 profit and place 50 or 100 on the 3 remaining if you're confident.

You are absolutely spot on there. I have the exact same bet and £100 returns over £2100 Belgium were close to 3-1.
I haven't cashed out yet :nervous:

I do that too.. it usually comes back to bite me in the ass. I've lost thousands of dollars doing that. I never learn.

Just not worth it, better wait for tomorrow's games.

Nah.. today was the game to bet.

Won $1300 off BTTS Belgium to win.

Anybody else love the Result+BTTS bet? It is BY FAR the best value bet I have ever done. My friend won $15k the last 3 months off it. I've just wiped off $4k losses by betting this way.

Your thoughts everyone?

Once I decide to go for Brazil and the feckers just had to lose.

When it says “Lingard to have over 1 shot on target” for example, does it include 1? So, really it should be worded “Lingard to have 1 or more shots on target”?

Suppose that’s why they have over 1.5 goals to eradicate the ambiguity. You never know with bloody betting companies.

Over 1 shot = 2 or more shots. I hate it when they do that. Billy Hill use that format all the time. They say "at least 1 shot" for clarification, for example.

Yeah people like yoa are why they have to use over 1.5 goals

I had a £10 on 2-1 yesterday...12/1...

At 2-0 I cashed out for £25 as I thought Belgium were going to score loads...

Also, yeah, Will Hill are horrible for that. My sister wanted a flutter and nearly got caught out on Brazil v Belgium Over 3 corners each team each half, which would be 16 corners, not 12 like she thought. Even though it’s obvious when you actually pay attention.

PS don’t know how many corners there were and I’d laugh if it came in as it was 125/1 haha.

I put a bet on England. That means Sweden is going to win.

Had a tenner on Lukaku golden boot at 16/1 but I can cash out now for £14.30. I know it’s feck all really but should I cash out now? If Kane scores today this bet is toast. I can reinvest on the England game instead.

Got him too. Cash out was as high as £33 before he got rested and drew a blank last couple of games. Gonna let him ride as I get a £5 bet everytime he scores. Also had Brazil to win the tourney so one of them had to go. Was hoping Belgium came second in the group.

Got a few Bet Builders and RABS on the WC games today. Whenever I post on here though they become cursed. Should I put them up I wonder?

Can’t see Rom catching up now. 2 goals behind Kane and Kane has a game in hand.

What is everybody doing who needs to bet on an exact result? 1-0 England or 2-1?

3 bets for me on this one:

Penalty to be taken 2/1
Kane anytime - evens
Granqvist anytime 7/1
