Discussion Your Lineup Prediction

  • I don't expect anything from this game.

Think we will not rotate that much, but Amorim would need to because the team was so tired.

    ------------------------------------------------------------Onana-----------------------------------------------------------
    ----------------------------------------Yoro------------Maguire----------------Martinez--------------------------
    Mazraoui-----------------------------Casemiro------------Eriksen--------------------------------------Dalot
    -----------------------------------------------Zirkzee-------------Garnacho------------------------------------------
    ------------------------------------------------------------Hojlund--------------------------------------------------------
If De Ligt is available, he plays ahead of Martinez in that back three. He's a leader and physical presence and we've missed that.

I would also have Ugarte there in the middle instead of Eriksen, there's just not enough energy or pressure off the ball. Eriksen is not a bad shout for his creativity, but I would push him further forward to 10 and swap out Zirkzee for him. Totally agree with dropping Bruno.

Zirkzee should only be playing off the bench in these games. We need a bit more solidity and grit and he's too much of a risk for a must win game like this.

Never like playing Wolves regardless of the form they are in.

It will be tricky, but if we cut out the silly mistakes we can get a win.

the only thing we do consistently well is make silly mistakes!

    Onana
    Yoro maguire de ligt
    Antony ugarte casemiro maz
    Amad Bruno
    Hojlund

See if that somewhat promising link up between Antony and Amad is actually a thing or not.

It ends 1-1. I think there will be 2-4 surprises: Rashford will be on the bench. Eriksen will be in the starting line-up. Mazraoui will be on the bench. Garnacho will start.

    .........................Onana.................

    .........De Ligt...Maguire...Yoro.........

    Amad........................................Dalot

    ...............Mainoo..Eriksen............
    ...........Bruno..................Garnacho...
    ........................Højlund.....................

All those misses in last games, it has to turn around sometimes, we are playing better each game, I predict a 1:5 drubbing.

Interesting in the pre-match conference Ruben has said the rotation to find out what is his best 11 is basically over and rotation now is based on avoiding further injuries.

I like Mainoo but he's not been that great and I think the Casemiro and Ugarte midfield has played well whenever they had a chance. Cas also helps us on set pieces on both ends, which actually needs to be prioritized as a consideration since a decent % of goals we're conceding are from set pieces. Martinez seems sluggish, although I like his vertical passes into the front 3 a lot, so I am taking him out. Maz after starting amazingly well, has had two bad games in a row. That may be fatigue, so lets rest him for this one. I much prefer Dalot to be on the right, but he is probably our best option at the left side (Malacia hasn't impressed there). Finally, Zirkzee really shouldn't be in the starting 11 if we have any other options. Maybe if he starts showing something special in training, bring him in, but I am really not impressed so far. The rest of the team picks itself.

    Onana
De Ligt - Maguire - Yoro
    Amad - Casemiro - Ugarte - Dalot
    Bruno - Garnacho
    Hojlund

I have a good feeling about this, I think we’ll win this. They’ve scored more goals than us, and actually create a lot of chances, but also conceded way more. Not expecting a clean sheet but with the defence I picked above and the midfield, hopefully we see less brainfarts and teams with 0.2 xG scoring 3 goals somehow.

    2-1 United.

Buzzing for this game. Will be my 6 year old sons first ever United match, he's been playing Wolves v United two days straight on FIFA

Quite worried about this one. Wolves had an easy win away at Leicester. Really think we need to drop Martinez and Bruno, but the latter is unlikely. Not surprised if he throws Rashford in here.

I watched quite a bit of them early in the season and honestly from what I was seeing I can’t believe their position in the table.

They played good stuff, were combative and were clearly the better team in some of the games even when they were losing.

So if they play to that level they should rip us to shreds.

Hard to be confident about United and they've got a new manager and it's going to be his first home game as well. There have been some positive things under Amorim so far and hope those can prevail and not the negative ones.

I can see us losing this one.

Fantastic news! Wishing you and your son the very best for his first game—fingers crossed for a big win!

Speaking of victories, how’s he been holding up in those FIFA battles with Wolves vs. United?

I hope this game does not convert him into a Wolves fan.

I can think of worse teams he could convert to
Too many kids in his football team are Liverpool or City fans.

Well my original thought when I purchased the tickets and Wolves being in horrific form, we should put a few past them and it’ll be a memorable day out for him. Now I’m not quite sure.

I haven’t been keeping track of his fifa scores

was it last time vs Wolves we needed a 90th minute top of his form Mainoo moment of brilliance to edge it 4-3? We do't know which United is going to show up tomorrow but could easily be another disappointing afternoon

I've done a few lucky dips on the lotto, Same will be on team selection for the game, changes will be made but who and in what position.
Onana will start. As for the rest it's lucky dip Rashford won't be there baby has thrown his toys out.
Will he put Hojlund Garnacho on bench again . Play Bruno forward or as a CM? Put Mainoo with Ugarte that don't realy work against a better CM .
    I'm not even trying to guess a starting 11 , I'd get 6 tops ..

Could easily lose one set piece goal and make a silly defensive mistake. 2-2 draw?

Wolves had a good game recently and no doubt they'll get a new manager bounce, crowd up for beating United. I don't think we'll be able to win.

I warned before the Bournemouth game that it would be tricky like against Forest and Spurs and last seasons match, very fit physical sides. We concede too many and it's a case of can we finish our own chances to get a high score draw or snatch a win.

Good thing is we do have a lot of control and creation, just the little mistakes have been very costly with the opposition being very clinical, first shot it's a goal, second shot another fecking goal and we're so wasteful. A 0-1 or 0-2 away win at Wolves would be incredible at this point.

Looking forward to this game and to this year. Ruben deserves support. Not glory hunter support, just support. Come on United.

Bit worried about this one. We've got tougher games immediately ahead and yet they have a new manager, at home, and we're in poor form.

    Onana
    Yoro Deligt Martinez
    Maz Ugarte Bruno Dalot
    Amad Hojlund Garnacho
