His coach told him to take the inner lane when he was supposed to, and about to, take the outer one.

If the latter; Kramer did what he called "his best 10k ever". On one of the laps he thought he was going to go in the outer path, but just before the corner his coach shouted to him that it was his turn to go the inner path.
So Kramer chooses the inner when he should have gone in the outer, and is disqualified.
