Wimbledon

Fecking hell.

I have to split to catch a train to catch a plane, so I won`t be watching Wimbledon anymore.

Hopefully Federer turns up and gets a set atleast. Don`t see how he can win it now.

See everyone in a couple of weeks.

Ta mate. Bon voyage.

generally is different then always. I dont totally disagree but i think Johnny Mac was at his best against borg in thier most famous match and he lost then the next year i think borg was at his best (at that time of his career) and lost. Then Mac was all conquering and lost to a resurgent JImmy connors who hit every line imaginable on his returns.

Grass does favour the server no question but class trumps a big serve or goran or roscoe tanner would have won several wimbledons.

I have seen the last 30 plus wimbledons and I stand by my assessment.

The nets are back up so play should be resuming shortly!!
Goran did not win it that often due to the best serve and volley player playing at the same time. After Agassi won in 1992, it was one by a serve and volley player every year till Hewitt stole on.

Seems we cant come to an agreement. Cheers.. the match is back on shortly lets hope for some history.

Is it me or is Federer hitting it harder and taking more risks when he's behind, but freezes up and does nothing but hit feeble balls when he's on break point.

I'd love to see just how many unforced errors he's hit this game. It must be an astronomical number.

I remember someone saying (might have been Henman) that when Federer drops off, the first thing to go his backhand. Certainly looks that way today.

Thought the commentary team had fallen asleep.

Yes, it was the same with Sampras. The control with a one handed backhand is not as good as the doublehanded one (although with the one hander, you have more reach...). When nerves settle in or things aren't going your way, this usually happens with most players...

Further proof on that point. Normal Federer would have at least gotten that in the court.

i couldn't give a bollock who wins...i dont like either of them.

Federer's serving harder since the break. Going for power and risking less firsts erves in. Change of tactics...
