Wimbledon

Can't wait for the Federer - Nadal match. Nadal has a real chance this year imo and if he wins it than Feder's dominiation is over. If Nadal can beat him on the grass he'll be able to beat him anywhere and Federer will be no.2 for the rest of his career:eek:.

Venus win the second set 6-4 and the wimbledon title.

Venus has a slight build for a woman that tall though... Serena's one of those big booty porn stars type...

I would not watch her in a porno. Unless I felt like vomiting. Which I almost never do.

When does the final start tomorrow?

I really hope Federer wins it. Don`t think he will though, have been really impressed with Nadal so far this tournament.

this is tennis, not an ultimate fight using light swords

Anybody watching the women's junior final? England's Laura Robson is about to win the championship against Lertcheewakar. It's been a better match that the Williams final.

It was a much better match. i hate the williams brothers, theyre so miserable.

Think robson will be a world class player in a few years. when they said shes british i thought i hope shes not scottish like that prick murray. when she spoke afterwards she was english.
The bloke said ''how do you think you'd fare against venus?''
She replied ''i'll take her dowwwwn'' It was funny as feck.

Men are from Mars, and one of them's called Venus.

Well done on Laura Robson, hopefully she will be a class player in the future. She seems to have the right mentality for some of such a young age. Let's just hope the LTA don't ruin her.

The Williams sisters dont actually look like men especially Venus, they are just not very attractive to most people thats all.

Roger Federer hopes his quest to surpass the legendary Bjorn Borg and claim his sixth consecutive Wimbledon title on Centre Court tomorrow will not be delayed by his opponent's tendency to stretch the service time rule to its limits.

World number two Rafael Nadal has often been accused of exceeding the 20-second limit between points, and was twice hit with warnings in this year's French Open in the semi-final against Novak Djokovic and the final against Federer.

Under the rules, a second violation would incur a point penalty and Federer, said today: "The unfortunate part is the umpire will always give him a warning but he'll never give him a point penalty.

"It's obviously a fine line. Until he gets into position to serve he takes his 20 seconds then he takes another 10 or 15 seconds until he really serves. I'm not saying he abuses it but he never feels the heat that much."

Federer added: "It used to be irritating when I played him a few times in a row and I really felt he was playing very slow. I think he's speeded up since those times and I actually felt he was playing fair lately.

"It's up to the umpire. I'll try to concentrate. I don't think I'll win or lose a match because he takes five seconds extra on a point. It's on the edge, I'm aware of that, but it's up to the umpire to decide what he wants to do."

Federer's comments provide an extra spark their rivalry scarcely needs. Already it is being held up as one of the greatest in tennis history, but the Swiss star says the true measure of their rivalry will come only once their careers are done.

"I think it's quite incredible that we've played each other so many times on big occasions," added Federer. "I'm very happy with my run in Paris and he's very happy with his run here but we each want a piece of each world and we haven't given in.

"You look at Becker-Edberg, McEnroe-Connors, Sampras-Agassi. I don't know how this is going to be looked on in years' time. But I know it's something special we're going through at the moment."

Didn't realise they've played each other on clay so many times. This one will probably be another 5 setter.

As much as i want federer to win i think its nadals this time. he looks like the best player in the worldat the moment, and he also looks like he wants it more too.

I would love to see Federer come back from a set or two down that would be a special win, that said I am picking him in 4.

He is getting his excuses in early.

No, he's trying to influence the ref to be more likely to punish Nadal. Fergie does it all the time, so do Benitez and Mourinho.

That's a bit different tennis is a bit more transperent than football to say the least

Federer is obviously not confident, getting his excuses in early otherwise he would have no reason to say this when he could have mentioned it earlier on. This proves Federer is shitting it this year, and rightly so. I'm hoping for a classic, but at the same time I want Nadal to murder his ego.

I honestly thought Federer had more class than to resort to those tactics before a match. I hope Nadal fecks him over today

has anyone mentioned how well the hawkeye challenge system is working
truly a revelation
when are we going to have video evidence and a challenge system for premiership matches?

He never needed to do it before. He knows Nadal has the edge this year otherwise there would be no need to come out with such nonsense.

Nadal doesn't have an edge - he's been trying to cheat to get one which is what Federer has reasonably pointed out.

There are loads of players around who take similar amount of time. Venus took lots of time yesterday between serves and Novak has that bouncing ball habit.

I wouldn't call what Nadal does cheating. But it's definitely annoying. I get irritated too when my opponent takes ages to serve. Although it really shouldn't make that much difference at this level.
