Wimbledon

What a homosexual celebration, I thought the Mens Final was on Sunday not today

Brilliant from Murray, one of the best comebacks I've ever seen, one of the best matches I've ever seen.

Who does he think he is showing off his biceps? Silly twat. Nadal will no doubt put him in his place.

Get in there!

Good for British tennis this, I don`t like the cnut but`s a good thing all in all.

He will lose against Nadal even though I hope he takes him. Nadal is extreme atm.

How do that work, what do each column mean?

Not usually a big fan of Murray, but good on him. Got right behind him in that match -- finally seems to be accepting that he's British, not Scottish, and the whole of the UK rallies behind him when it comes time for Wimbledon.

Will probably lose to Nadal, though, but I hope he doesn't.

Yeah I'm hopeful that he'll give him a closer game than some on here are making out, can't see him beating Nadal but who knows if he plays like he did tonight then it could be another classic game. As someone else said it's already a huge step up in his career and i'm looking forward to the Nadal match.

No, it's not, it's emotional and shows that the player gets into the game. Taking it easy is what seems really annoying to me, I mean how can you not be happy when you're winning the game? Henry used to piss me off with his calm celebrations.

Agreed, I'd imagine it's how most of us would react to a match like that, showing off his fairly small biceps at the end on the other hand :nervous:

And some serious money won with little of input, look at that figures - it's about £4m to £5m.

I cannot really figure out why people would be willing to put serious money on tennis at 1.01s. It's insanity.

I'm not a big tennis fan but some of the play in that match was absolutely sensational, I only turned it on half way through the third set to see he had been battered up to that point.

I'm delighted for him and his detractors should get off his back.

Agreed, I'd imagine it's how most of us would react to a match like that, showing off his fairly small biceps at the end on the other hand :nervous:

I thought it was funny, and it was probably meant to be funny. Fans reacted to that with laugh, and it wasn't the first time he did that. Nothing wrong with that to be completely fair.

As for celebrations, I would probably go mental if I came back from 2 sets down, in a massive competition with the entire crowd behind me. If he hadn't celebrated, I would've thought there had been something wrong with him.

Meanwhile, I'm glad that our own Radwanska made it to the quarter-finals. It appears to be a very good year for Polish individuals with Kubica getting the accolades in F1 and Radwanska playing well in Grand Slam tournaments, especially as we've never really had any good players (or drivers) in both.

Murray did well to come back from 2 sets down. A lot of it had to do with Gasquet's fatigue, although Murray was knackered also. Nadal won't get so tired. I think Murray will really struggle against Nadal and I'd expect Nadal to win in 3.

That was an excellent match yesterday. It was a real pleasure to watch it.

Pity that Nadal will now destroy Murray.

Big game today for Radwanska. I have more confidence in her beating Serena then Kutznetsova.

Lets do it girl.

I've probably jinxed it, but is this the best weather Wimbledon has had for a long, long time?

Anyone watching our Tamarine Tanasugarn in the women's singles?

Giving her best against Venus, but seems like that's not enough.

Good match. She put up a dcent fight but Venus was just too strong as expected. Serena better not let me down now.

Best I can remember. Has there even been a rain break?

Think they had rain one morning, which delayed the start slightly, but didn't force anyone off court, as no one had been on yet. Other than that, can't think of any breaks.
