Wimbledon 2013

To think that some maniac on here claimed yesterday that Serena would easily beat Murray. Christ on a bike!

It's the 5th game and the quality of tennis is already very good but this is Wimbeldon and I miss a player of the style of an Edberg or a Becker or a Sampras. We don't even have a Rafter or a Ivanisevic or Krajicek these days. :(

I miss the battle of different styles. Courier vs Edberg or Sampras vs Agassi.

The women's tournaments this year had a lot of serve and volleying this year, lobs, drop shots, smashes e.t.c.

Some of the top seeds were knocked out and the final could certainly have been closer but it was good it was god in terms of the variety. A lot of the coaches are working from the same notes these days unfortunately and there is less of a differential between the slams.

Pingpong Wanker, how do you deal with games like this on Pingpong Centre Court? Tell us about the pressures, the heat and the nerves.

Pressure is dealt with in similar ways across all sports. The only differences occur for each player.

Djokovic making lots of unforced errors here. Really not playing his best tennis at the moment.

Last time they met on this court, Murray won. So not sure how you can make that conclusion.

That was the Olympics in a best of 3. A final at Wimbledon in a best of 5 against an in-form Djokovic is a different matter.

People forget that Murray looked reasonably shaky in his last two rounds - Verdasco pushed him much harder than he should have, and Janowicz had big chances until he lost his head.

Castle is starting to wind me up.

Can't help feel that Murray needs to take advantage of this. Djokovic surely won't keep missing.

What the feck?

Murray is such a dull percentage player at times. Grinds his opponent into mistakes.
How dare he not go for winners with every shot? By the way, the players who do that are usually the ones who are known as inconsistent and usually sit outside the top 20.

I have a feeling the BBC are going to have to cancel their Formula 1 show and Countryfile.

This is going to be a very long match, I still reckon Djokovic is going to win it but it'll easily go over 4 hours.

Murray's already looking fatigued, if Djoko can hide his, that's surely a psychological advantage.

Interminable baseline rallies are similar to tika-taka without a Plan B when the opposotion is defending well.

 Calm down. He looks fine. He's fatigued in the way most people would be and it's hardly going to be much of an advantage. As I said, Djokovic is a machine and doesn't really show it but Murray's played 5-setters in the heat before. He's hardly going to crumble to fatigue after a set.

Djoko will win this

Would be nice if he breaks here too, so he's serving first in the 2nd set. Always a good advantage

Must be bad when Andrew Castle is trending on twatter
