Wimbledon 2013

Phenomenal match and Djokovic shows once again just what a monumental task it is to beat him in a five set match. Surely one of the best players ever in these situations.

Absolutely gutted for Del Potro :( That is one of, if not the best, matches I've ever seen.

As for Novak, he's just unreal. Some of his 'gets' are just ridiculous.

fecks sake. I am hoping the Polish lad beats Murray and then beats Djokovic. Will settle for a Djokovic win if not

Just imagine a fully fit Del Potro.

I'm going to buck the trend and hope Murray wins

That match was absolutely epic. Insanely good. I feel for Del Potro, but Djokovic was just better at the absolute key moments. The final will be disappointing after that, particularly as Djokovic will just crush whoever he's up against.

I'm not even going to bother watching the Murray match. I'm too tennis-exhausted now.

A Del Potro v Janowicz final would have been great.

He's not always injured. Being out for almost a full year does have lasting effects and it looks like he's getting his rhythm back now

Well, the first of my sports matches this weekend lets me down. Now for Murray to lose here, the Lions to lose tomorrow, Bartolli and Djokovic to win their finals and Vettel to win the F1 and I'll have a full set of disappointment.

Never in doubt, it was always going to come down to stamina in the 5th set and outside clay, no one does it better than Djokovic.

Now please Murray, don't feck this up. He's got a good chance here.

Del Potro :(. Well I hope Murray gets totally destroyed. Atleast it will be some consolation.

Probably the worst Wimbledon in recent memory. The two most generic players to meet in the finals and a completely underwhelming Women's final to boot.

Hardly. We've seen some fantastic upsets in the tournament and that there was an incredible match. The final may be slightly 'generic' or 'predictable' but it generally always is. It seems you just can't win with some people. If the big guns go through they complain it's predictable; if the big guns go out they complain at the lack of quality.

I doubt Djokovic will simply crush Murray if he comes up against him in the final.

I've been watching tennis for over 30 years and that is one of the best matches I'VE ever seen. It even outdid Murray coming back from two sets down the other day and that was a thriller.

There isn't a lack of quality - just a lack of personality. Having two of the blandest players on tour meet in the final isn't particularly inspiring. Tennis needs some new personalities to step up.

How are they particularly bland though? Djokovic produced an absolute classic today and is exciting to watch. I'll admit that Murray isn't the most exciting to watch but people exaggerate how boring he is by acting as if he's still the player he was back in 2009/2010 when he was a lot more defensive than he is now. Tennis is in a great era at the moment and people still feel the need to constantly complain. Their match at the US Open last year was excellent and there's nothing to suggest that if Murray wins their final on Sunday won't be a very good match.

I hope Murray gets hammered. I cannot remember a more boring character in sport.

Djokovic and Del Potro was absolutely unbelievable. Imagine Del Potro could keep fit, he would be unreal.

Djokovic is not bland by a long shot.
