Wimbledon 2013

How defensive has Murray been? I thought he became a more offensive player the past year, but this is a disgusting style and deserves nothing.

Just been too defensive. But looks like he will still win this. Come on verdasco

Yeah, hope verdasco wins. I was rooting for him, but he has played like a coward.

It's been a bit bizarre. This is the way he used to play back in like 2009 or 2010, but in the past couple of years he's moved past that, which has had a lot to do with how much he's improved as a player. He's been fairly aggressive in the tournament too, and it's worked for him up until now.

Why he's changed it today I don't know. It suited Verdasco perfectly who was controlling points in the first two sets and looking like the dominant player. As soon as Murray became more aggressive in the 3rd set, he took control of it.

Disgusting is too far though.

Who the bloody hell are the 8 other Spaniards ahead of him?

Off the top of my head there's Nadal, Ferrer, Lopez(?), Almagro and Robredo. They've certainly got some talented players.

Once Murray wins this set he'll run away with the final set.

What can you say about Andy Murray ....the guys knows how to run.

And our 2nd best tennis player is Laura Robson. I think she'd give most of those a game :nervous:

All of those Spanish players would destroy her.

As for how a tennis game would go between them though, I'm not too sure.

Still a poor set from Murray even though he won it. Really defensive stuff and was just hoping for Verdasco to miss rather than him control and win the point like he should be doing. If he gets through this match Janowicz will be a huge, huge test.

This is easily excusable by Murray to be fair.

Not played a major or been tested in a fair few months now, if he comes through it - will do him alot of good.

Add to that he could win a quarter final whilst playing poorly...

You rarely see Djokovic, Nadal (after early rounds) or Federer (in his prime) struggle through matches like this, though.
