Wimbledon 2013

Robson was genuinely terrible, obviously not quite mentally set for this quite yet - but what a choke by her opponent.

Anyone's game now, as i wouldn't back Robson to close it out either.
 
Robson seems to struggle first set, same yesterday where she was broken twice. Pressure seems to get to her but she seems to get it together by the second set. I guess its difficult at such a young age, having support like this can be great, but its also a lot of pressure in individual sports, weight of expectation compared to the other slams. A lot of potential though, easy to forget she's still only 19.
 
Saved three break points there, phew.

Appalling mismanagement of the hawkeye by Erakovic throughout the match so far.
 
She was really unlucky with that call set point down. Pretty much had a guaranteed deuce before it was called out and they had to replay the point, when she then double faulted.
 
Some turnaround in this game by Robson, at least she's shown she has the head for it under all this pressure.

The crowd must help Murray and Robson so much at Wimbledon. Amazing atmosphere at times. I know it's not really the tennis way but I would like to see a more hostile environment for their opponents. Especially for Robson's matches. Lots of the women seem to have poor mental strength, making things more intimidating could get good results.

I think it depends how you deal with it, especially at Robsons age where the pressure and expectation can really get to you. But she seems to be taking it all in her stride this year.
 
Very impressive serving placement from Tomic, I like him.
 
I want her to win, I also want to sniff her panties but that is another issue.
 
Erakovic started to creep back into it but Laura did the business and saw it out. Good stuff.

Some nice points at the net during the match too.
 
Lisicki looking awesome. As I said a few days ago, she is the only one with a shot at stopping Serena. Now we will see that match-up.

Great match between Dolgopolov and Ferrer.
 
They're closing the roof on Centre Court to ensure that we go to the finish tonight. Apparently it will be the first ever non-rain related reason for it being closed.
 
Djok looking totally imperious. Though it's not always a good thing to breeze through without being tested.

It was great to watch. Brown, Tomic and Dolgopolov have played some lovely unorthodox tennis with innovative shot-making rather than the borefest baselining of so many of the outside-top-4 players.
 
Was at Centre Court yesterday for the first time, great experience. That Janowicz guy was impressive, massive serve and has touch to go with his power.
 
At least one split screen will be in order for all of the tennis going on across Wimbledon later today.

Another nice mild day on the horizon so there shouldn't be any delays either. Of course in several years we'll have No 1 Court with a roof too.
 
Janowicz trying his very best to make me look a fool by losing to the mighty Jurgen Melzer, but he's managed to squeeze the second set in a tiebreak to make it a set all.
 
Robson gonna win this shizzle!
