Wimbledon 2011

Five long sets of this would make the evening go nicely. Fantastic stuff.

I will hate to play a guy like Del Potro. He hits some awkward yet effective shots. His span is so wide that Nadal has to go for low percentage winners.

Favourite player without a doubt.

There's something weirdly graceful about the way he moves on the court. His groundstrokes are unforgiving. Liked the way he served and volleyed in this match as well..

del Potro's a beast. If only he could stay injury-free, he'd be a real threat to the "big 4".

Agreed. I actually think he'll be part of the big four alongside the top three in the world if he can stay fit. Unlike Murray, he seems to know how to handle the pressure of playing big points.

Federer is now youzing pass Youzhny.

All jokes aside, I think Nadal is in trouble in this match. Never seen Nadal out balanced so early in a rally.

Del Potro is potentially better than Murray IMO.

He has the game to upset anyone including Djockovic and Nadal.

Absolutely. If he can get back to his 2009 form he'll eventually be Number 1. And he looks so good on the grass - he was horrible when losing to Hewitt a couple of years back.

Nadal looks pretty pissed off. He looks like a bloke knows he's not getting off the court easily. Still fancy him to wear DelPo down eventually though.

Does anyone else think that Del Potro would've been in top5 if it hadn't been for injuries?

That was the Del of 4 years ago. Dude has worked on his fitness. His weakness was in ball at his feet, he got someone to help him out and now, he is just money.

What a fecking point by Nadal.

No medical time outs please, Del Potro!

Why is the trainer out during a game? Surely Del Potro knows better.

top 3 actually.

Who'd the top 3 be? Overall, I still think Murray is better than him, so is Djokovic and I don't see either of those two being ahead of Nadal for a stretch.

The commentators have been mentioning Nadal's left foot, was it a fall during this match?

First set of the match, Nadal had a set point from a break of serve. Seemed to have hurt his ankle/ligament towards the end of the first set.

Youzhny's technique on the backhand is beautiful. Similar to Gasquet's in many respects.

I think I've mentioned how much I'm enjoying this. Please go the distance...

Was Potro exaggerating a bit about the injury? Looks like he wanted to act like Nadal a bit. The word in the dressing room is that, Nadal only gets injured when his back is against the wall.

No idea why Nadal would want a medical time out when things were even. Same thing about del Potro. Match still in the balance, didn't make sense to call for a tactical medical time-out.

Tim Henman on his parents "Is it just me or do they look more relaxed than they used to?"

Yes Tim, because now they're getting to watch some decent tennis.
