Wimbledon 2011

Tsonga finally puts Dimitrov away. Great tie-break.

 at amolbatty saying the women's tennis has been better so far. :wenger:

Two quality matches today in Hewitt/Soderling and Tsonga/Dimitrov.

Two be fair, I came home after the Hewitt/Soderling so I hadn't seen one good mens game whereas I had seen two good women's matches (Li Na's and Venus William's).

Damit I seriously contemplated putting Feli to beat Roddick in the Wimby Prediction game but chose Roddick at the last moment

Didn't that become abundantly clear in like 2004?

Shame, of that pre-Nadal/Djoko crew, easily the second best of them because of his consistency(Safin the second best on pure talent), but unlike Safin and Nalbandian, he and Hewitt just never had any answers to Federer. He'd have like 7-8 slams if it wasn't for Federer, tough luck I guess.

Having clowns like Roddick and Hewitt as your main challengers. Dam I wish Nadal was 4 years older.

Nadal vs Muller about to start. Muller is the only player other than Fed to have beaten Nadal at Wimbledon...

Bloody hell it was like watching Muller vs Nadal from all those years ago. Muller just hammered Nadal and luckily choked at the end. 3 Set points at 5-6 :nervous:

Anyway rain now.

Nadal's struggle against a big server like Muller doesn't bode well for his potential 4R match vs Del Po...

Murray vs Gasquet next round should be epic!

Took 200/1 about the Frenchman at the start of the Tournament. He's flaky, but I have this suspicion that Nadal won't reach the Final this year - which makes the top half fairly open.

Impressive win for Lopez, couldn't have picked a better guy to beat in my eyes

Does anyone know what's behind putting Azarenka-Hantuchova on Centre court ahead of Nadal-Muller? Commercial reasons?

Heaven knowns. Maybe because Hantuchova is hot and Nadal and Muller aren't?

Nadal injured?

No single player can play every game on Centre court, this was Nadal's game away from it.

Really? Didn't know that. Are you sure about that? I really never remember Fed playing anywhere other than Centre Court over the last decade :p

Yeah, but I didn't expect Azarenka-Hantuchova to be the ones playing when he had his match off it, I expected bigger players.

Meh, besides her legs, I've never really considered Hantuchova hot.

Ah damit. Play on all outside courts has been canceled for the day

Definitely, Murray was off it last round too, they want them on there in the latter rounds and the first, so rounds 2/3/4 played with some on centre and some on 1.

Only consolation is that Del Potro's match has yet to be completed as well. Awful day though

Yup I think he played just one set as well? Nadal and Del Po both won first set tie breaks and both picked up slight injuries apparently.

Oh and Del Po is 4-2 down in the 2nd

inb4 "LJUBICIC CHOKED" from the murray haters

Lube goes 4-3 up with a break and loses 6-4 and then he breaks in the first game of the 2nd set after 2 Murray DF's. Lets see how Lube messes it up this time.

Didn't know Ljubicic was the oldest man remaining in the mens draw.

Lube wins the 2nd set 6-4. It's sets and matches like this why he isn't yet at the level of Nadal and Fed and even Djoko. He just has too many mini collapses in a match.

Andy Roddick is the most inconsistent player. Fecker! He used to be my favorite player after Sampras left. Over the last few years his performances have dropped dramatically. Well now I hope Nadal wins.

Any chance he'll wrap this up before half past? I want to see My Family
