Why can't they just close the roof when there's such crazy wind? Sigh another fault there.

Never thought of that, is it purely for rain?

Technically yes but when the conditions are this bad would it not just make sense to close it?

Berdych is beginning to get the first serves in now and it's much harder for Rafa now to break

A couple of Rafa errors and a few huge serves later Berdych holds easily again.

Error again. Has Nadal played a worse set this tournament? He was playing better in all the sets he has lost till now I think, except the Soderling one.

The wind has really ruined this match tbh. It's been very poor quality.

That serve is getting Berdych out of trouble big time.

Nadal has 15 Unforced Errors to Berdych's 9. That's a shocking stat.

He needs to raise his game now does Rafa.

Been a fair bit below his best this set.

Those 5 setters at the start of the tournament seem to have helped him!

It's amazing to see him come back this strongly after last year.

That said, Berdych just doesn't seem to be able to get into the game. Pressure of the final getting to him maybe?

Well I don't think the pressures's got to him. The conditions have been poor and he's struggled a bit with the first serve. And with Nadal returning everything he was going to struggle.

Good god Nadal's continuing his poor form from the second set. Again shit loads of errors.

Yet another forehand put wide by Nadal. He's putting too many of these shots wide today

Berdych keeps checking with his coach as to whether he should challenge calls, is that allowed?

Berdych keeps checking with his coach as to whether he should challenge calls, is that allowed?

No, it's not. It's the same as coaching. But Enigma and the rest won't ever complain about it will they?

Even Soderling kept checking with his camp before deciding to challenge.

Nadal's just not attacking the second serve enough. And plus too many Errors yet again.

Rafa Rafa Rafa Rafa!!!!!!

OK - so I'm pleased for him. Great to see him come back like this.

Has wr8 gone to have a celebration wank then? ;)

Congrats to Nadal, easily the best player in the tournament, shame it didn't go to 5 sets.

Nadal, the best player in the world since 2007. Shame he got injured.

I thought it would be pretty routine today for Nadal, hes just in a different class to the rest of the mens game right now, remember this is an opponent who breezed past Federer and Djokovic in the previous 2 rounds (worlds number 2 and 3) and yet he couldn’t even get close to winning a set against Rafa Nadal today and yet I don’t think Nadal played even close to his best tennis, I thought he was much better against Murray in the previous round that alone says it all.

8 slams now for Nadal just 24 years of age you have to say fitness permitting this guy could well go down as the greatest ever, i dont see him getting beat at Rolan Garros anytime soon, hes the best grass court player in the world as well its only the hardcourts of the US he hasn’t quite sussed yet but i think that’ll come before to long, fitness permitting i can see him winning more slams than Federer.

Dominating Mens tennis at the moment easily out on his own at world number 1.
