I believe that this is the fourth time that Roddick has lost to Federer in the Wimbledon final. That is a gut wrenching element of all this.

Roddick has to come away feeling somewhat confident about this. In the previous finals, Federer basically wiped the floor with Roddick. Roddick was a headcase because he just couldn't get close to Federer when it counted. Now, after having re-dedicated himself, he took Federer to the brink, and very well could've won but for a point here and there.

It was a great match, but there wasn't much drama compared to last year..not really a patch on it in entertainment terms...it was almost machine like, it just went on and on....It's great that the last 3 finals have all been 5 set classics though, especially when the womens finals have all been so dull recently
