A few people wanted a separate thread for Willian to prevent it clogging up the Transfer Tweets one, so here it is.

Waste of money. A CB , CM, striker and RW are higher priorities.[/QUOTE]
But he is a right winger? If you don't even know his position, how can you judge his value?
This isn't my own personal fortune they are spending, if he costs 60 million, so be it.
William is a fantastic player.
It isn't your own personal fortune. But we giving £60m to a rival who are most likely going to sign a better player.
Not sure I am for that.

Would you take it for £60m? I would.A Mourinho managed Man United signing Willian? I reckon @Bob Loblaw might vomit.
Do you honestly think Chelsea won't sign a top quality player anyway?
Are you forgetting they've got a billionaire owner, if Willian suits Mourinho, he suits me as well. I actually think he's a fantastic player, perfect supply for a certain giant Swedish legend.
Pretty much. Although Mourinho didn't have to spend to buy.Chelsea may have a billionaire owner. But Roman has stopped the big spending from his own pocket.
Mourinho had to sell De Bruyne, Mata and Lukaku to buy. His overall net spend there was a profit.
Giving them £60m is just basically telling them to go break Griezmanns clause because we know that is what will happen.

If we had someone better lined up then yes but I wouldn't sell just for the money and then hope we can replace him.
If there is any truth behind this story (which I doubt), I hope Conte is given some input.
No disrespect, but how can a player a limited as Willian be your favourite RW. Sure hes a decent player, but hes not particularly skillfull, his goal record is abit poor and his assist record looks just as average. His greatest strength is his energy and defensive work but maybe to me that doesnt seem that exciting. That being said id take him at UtD if the fee was abit lower, but as it is id rather go all out for MahrezIf he is 28.. that's a bad purchase in terms of long term value. He has been my favourite right winger for quite some time though.40m would have been more reasonable.
