Will our next managerial appointment be any different to the last four?

Oh I agree Dev, you can also add the advisory board to that list, of which Gill and Fergie have a place. They seem more desperate in reliving a bit of nostalgia and maintaining as much of the “old way” in the club as possible, hence for example Phelan/Ole than they do about dragging the club into the modern era.

It’s a bit of a shit show from top to bottom. That said, we all thought the same about the scousers till a certain Klopp came around.

Also note that Conte has been working under CEOs, DOFs and technical directors for ages. Sure he's a difficult person to work who won't settle for incompetence or lowering of standards. However Marotta (ex Juve CEO) signed him for Inter while Paratici (ex DOF at Juventus) tried to sign him at Spurs. Inter did their outmost to try to persuade him to remain as well. So people in that role do appreciate his contribution

We're not scared of him not working within our structure (as if we're inventing the wheel). What we're scared is of Conte exposing the incompetence at United just as Mou and LVG did.

What makes you so sure
The fact that our recruitment and support for the manager in charge over the past 3 years has got better. As has the desire to implement a singular long term football strategy with the club's ideals as the standard. Not any one Manager's ideals. That is the real reason they don't fancy Conte. A pochetino would have a hire chance of being hired than him

I really can’t see the negativity around Conte. He’s a walking success. He left inter as they wanted to sell all the best players.

reasons for Conte:
1. He recently won the PL and broke win records along the way, this was against Klopp and Pep
Who are considered the best there is at present.
2. He broke Juventus stronghold on the Serie A.
3. He doesn’t put up with nonsense from the board.

Yeah, I don't get it either. He wins a lot and always implements a clear system.

People complain that he always goes bananas and leaves clubs, which is true, however there needs to be some context.

From my perspective he normally leaves because he isn't in charge of transfers or gets his players sold. At Utd, the manager is still given a massive amount of power so I am not actually so sure he would melt down as he wouldn't be required to sell and have more transfer power than he has ever had (although you obviously cannot bet against it.)
