There goes the cruciate. Ouch.

(his Palace team-mate not Zaha himself)

Thought he was alright tonight, him and the other wingers were the only good players for Palace tonight. Very good at deceiving defenders, and with some work on his final ball he could be some player.

Good in the second half today, but they just didn't get the ball to him nearly enough. Unusually for a young flair winger, he's got an incredibly consistent final product. He almost always seems to do something useful with the ball once he's done the fancy bit.

Yeah showed glimpses of his potential tonight, impossible to tell how good he'll be though. Palace were totally rubbish on the whole.

That's just clutching at straws. I'm sure he's very good, as I said, my opinion is merely based on 45 minutes of football, i.e. not a very educated one.

Probably best not to form any opinion at all based on 45 mins.

I have at a guess seen him in about 3-4 games and I refuse to say what he is and isnt.

He had some positive moments when he moved to the left in the second half. He needs to work on his close control though.

I've seen him switched position at half time twice. Same reason both times, to get him away from Bridge.

That extremely experienced left back who s more than capable of playing in the PL?

Zaha will surely learn from playing against wiley fullbacks in time

He'll have to find his way out of Wayne Bridge's pocket first.

Not tonight, he spent most of the last fixture in Wayne Bridge's pocket.

Spent first half in the pocket of Bridge again.

So just to confirm: He was in Bridge's pocket?

He shows some glimpses. It's not his fault Palace couldn't supply him as much as they'd like. He will see far more of the ball at United and if he can keep being productive, he'll do well

You know what I liked? he always took his man on, always, not once did he do a Valencia or Young and turn back 360 and pass it backwards.
I'm sure he knew more than ever he was being watched tonight and he didn't hide away and play safe. He seemed to be triple marked today at times too, he won't need to worry about that when he comes here.

That would be quite a trick!

But yeah, if he can beat his markers as often as he did today when there are three of them, he should do very well when the opposition have Rooney, Van Persie and Kagawa to worry about too.

To be fair Brighton played it very tight at the back, they kept tucked in and didnt allow Zaha alot of space, like others have stated though is that he never lost heart which is encouraging.

A lot of flairy type wingers will get marked out the game and just disappear, Nani had a stage like that, but Zaha kept trying to get on the ball and make stuff happen.

The 1 time in the first half he did get passed bridge he picked a lovely pull back, which palace ended up wasting.

Sure it wasn't his best game, but it was a tight affair with very few chances. Games like that are more important to development anyway, you don't learn anything from dancing around fullbacks all game.

strange, it was anything but that the last time i went.

When they counter attacked sure the fullbacks pressed on, but bridcutt stayed back and helped be the extra defender.

When palace had possession they quickly got into a tight shape and did there best to double mark Zaha.

I cannot remember a single moment with him getting 1 on 1 against Bridge.

I didn't see the game but it's a bit disheartening if he's been in Bridges pocket a couple of times this season, Wayne Bridge is shite.

 yeah he didn't mean the brighton team.

Bridge is easily good enough to play in the premier league, him being a money grabbing cnut doesn't change that

I am quite confident Zaha will do very well for us. He will see a lot more of the ball here than he does playing for Palace and nor will be be marked so tightly. And he's probably chosen the best time to sign for United as well with all our wingers having shite seasons

Zaha hasn't had the best of game thus far for Palace. Caught in possession a lot and not very effective at easing the pressure on his defence with decent counter-attacks.

Most of his best work seems to have come during the earlier stages of this season, he's played almost 50 games so I won't judge him too much based on these games.
